Why pay for pg when you can get them at a large discount. I'll take Rondo.

Would he go to the Clipps to reunite with Doc.

I don't want to pay for anything. If Rondo works out a little it's ok. Adding any name and spending money can be seen as Melo appeasement which it probably would be.
The Bulls are in for a very long season if they're going to go with Jerian Grant running the point.
You know, Canaan wouldve been a nice triangle guard...
We should sign Rondo he can provide a second pov in the lockeroom. He would chew Melo out four not playing defense and being the fukking jerk he is. He would also show up sand try to win instead of chafing empty stats. I would videotape every instance where he freezes Melo out and passes to someone moving without the ball and make a compilation with insane maniacal laughter in the background. I would then have it hand delivered to Dolan and Melo and the president of the players union.

Are you taking a vacation soon?

You like that long D huh? 🤓
Playoff Rondo would be awesome. He's the perfect kind of veteran PG - the type that gets injured for long stretches and makes room for the young guys to get some run.
I'd rather have him than Rose, for what it's worth. (yeah, low standards)

He was supposed to be a good mentor for the young guys last year. Brad Stevens said the same thing about him. But in Dallas he was parking in Rick Carlisle's parking spot. Maybe he could park in Rambis's spot.
I pass on Rondo. He'll be just like Rose, will look great for a while and something will happen and we're looking to unload him.
He might have some character issues and he'll get the team in trouble on the court by getting into with the refs and getting techs and not stopping but he plays the game the right way for a PG and he'll win some games for us.
Very mixed emotions. I want Frank to emulate Rondo's game, but not his temperament. When things dont go Rondo's way, things tend to get very ugly. He was willing to cross a championship coach in Dallas, the whole team voted to deny him a playoff share. Not something that should be taken lightly.
If Rondo was on his best behavior, was a willing mentor to Frank, things could turn out well. High Risk/Reward. Maybe not contract wise, but chemistry wise. Better than Rose though.

Rondo seems to have been a headache on every team he has played for. Not to mention the guy still can't shoot. I would pass on Rondo. Only takes one guy to destroy a locker room.

I agree, I would pass. If Rondo is signed however, he would be the best playmaker we've had in a long time. 2 years tops. A 2 year deal and least he could be moved if things didnt work out. 4 years and Rondo falls back on his old ways, the Knicks are likely stuck with his contract at this stage in Rondo's career. 2 years is the only deal that I could digest.

Also keep in mind Rondo is most effective (in his prime) when you just give him the ball and allowed him the freedom to create on his own. The triangle seems like it would've been the worse offense for him. Not sure what type of system Hornacek is going to run, but that greatly impacts whether Rondo would be a good fit. He's not the type of player who you can plug into any system and see him flourish.
