Looking at that team, it lacks identity.
I'd rather start with

But, with the offseason around, why add salary? And why waive Melo.
Pretty much stay put and maintain cap flexibility to make deals.
Use the season to move Melo, Noah, Lee, Thomas if possible.
I don't have high expectations for this season. Maybe use it to hire an analytical president and build infrastructure to be competitive.
Not sure what you mean lacks identity. And your starting 5 is missing Willy. Also not sure what Baker has done to make stater in your proposed lineup.
