Knicks · George Hill? (page 1)

Had a good year. Solid shooter. What would be his contract? Trying to think of good PG's to groom the kid.

Why? We need a high pick in the draft- it's the last year we can go for that (as the year after we need to show signs of improvement so KP wants to re-sign). How does George Hill help us long term? Why pay big money for a PG when we've just drafted our PG of the future? However he is declining and injury prone and we've had a lot of success over the years with that, so maybe this is a great idea.

I think he'll go to Denver- they have lots of cap space and are probably in a reasonable position (better than us)

George Hill kinda reminds me of Courtney Lee. He looks good in somebody else's uniform and then when he's on your team you're not quite as impressed.

G.Hill is one of the top 2 way PG's in the league. He hits the 3 ball at a good rate and plays really good defense. I'd love to have him on the Knicks. Utah offered him a 3 year $60 million contract to stay so i think they liked how he looked in their uniform.

...or they have few options if he leaves since Utah is not exactly a free agent destination.

The east just lost Paul George, Jimmy Butler and Jeff Teague. The Bulls and Pacers will be worse than the Knicks this season.

There is no viable trading partner for Melo and the team doesn't have to run the triangle. They are a 35 win team right now.

Frank is years away and will be solid not franchise changing, so Hill makes the most sense on a 3 year deal. He's a tough two way player that plays the right way. It's the best move we can make. The Pacers don't have a prayer of making the playoffs and the biggest are in a stacked western conference.

Everyone is tradable. The Knicks are the most embarrassing team in sports. So we need to change the narrative and the culture. We need a guy that can help the development of Frank, Baker, Willy, KP and hopefully Dotson.

Give the guy the 3 years at 16.5MM. Move KOQ and open up the 4MM. We need to start adding good players that take pride in professionalism.

4 assists per game is nothing to write home about. Thats what Rose is putting up.

Hill always seemed to be a combo guard who was more shooting guard than point guard. Not saying I wouldn't want him, just depends on the contract.

Thanks for the info. If Hill can do better than 4 assists per game, that would could be worth it. We really need a floor general at PG.

Agreed. But options are starting to shrink. Reports are coming out we have interest in Rondo, Carter-Williams and Collison.

Understood.

Funny how you disagree yet give your own reason why Hill makes sense. So tanking shows KP What? And im sure after tanking we will be the biggest turnaround story in 2018-19. That will.impress KP. So you drafted the PG of future and you wont invest in grooming him?

Only obstacle is cap space. (Big one). But i am sure we can trade Noah.
