Knicks · Boston made a mistake. (page 1)

Fultz is the real deal. The next Curry.

Tatum looks like a role player. Awkward shot.

Yeah yeah, first game but there are things you can just see in players. And Fultz has it.

reub @ 7/3/2017 8:43 PM
Better luck next time Danny Ainge.
TheGame @ 7/3/2017 8:55 PM
I don't know about that. Fultz looks good but Tatum looks good too. The celtics like Smart and did not need another pg. plus, they picked up another high draft pick. I think in the longrun they are going to fine with the trade.

Someone said Tatum is a "poor man's Melo" and i might have to agree. We can all agree Melo is a flawed player even in his prime but at least his scoring was top notch

Good shooters shoot a high percentage. Melo is a product of inefficiency with high rate of shots. Make the improper play and is given the best bad shot shooter. Puts up numbers but shoots less in percentage than opposing team. No defense a negative player.

Was being sarcastic. Point is, there is too much emphasis placed on draft picks. It takes years to see the true return. Think fans and teams expect too much and give up on players way too early. Sure there are some that look special, but even those have to be developed. However, understand teams sometimes have to make decisions on where they think a kid will end up based on quick impressions.

Both Tatum and Fultz looked like they have potential. Now the real work starts.

Who would you think would have been better for us? Love? George?

Oh I agree. I also do think people give up on picks way too early sometimes.

I remember the good 'ole days when everyone made a mistake on Anthony Randolph.

That's true. I guess that's why I was a supporter of Hardaway Jr when most gave up on him. although I actually liked Jerian Grant I'm glad that hardaway found his role for the Hawks

George would have been my choice but I would rather have picks.

I think Tatum is Tobias Harris 2.0 the key will be his ability to rebound or play defense.
SkyWalker @ 7/4/2017 7:29 AM
Tatum looks pretty good.

Boston made a mistake but it was not picking small forward Josh Jackson from kansas.

These players from Duke are usually hit or miss.. Theyou either become a bust or injury prone. The year we selected KP6, Duke 2 starters from their championship season Okafor and Winslow have become a total bust in the NBA..

The pg for d u ke also selected late 1st round that year, I don't think he's currently in the NBA right now...

Boston picks J. Tatum but if Gordon Heyward signs with Boston , the Tatum pick was a waste.. Boston shoul'd've pulled the trigger on acquiring Paul George and maybe another veteran player from the pacers roster...

Ainge had all the assets to get it done.. What was he waiting for? He's not a proactive GM. Now his best chance going forward is to get Melo..

Another reason in favor of having FA before the draft.

You have to wonder if the Celtics saw Jackson's shot and felt they could not wait on it...Tatum is a scorer and they have to figure he'll be their second go-to guy at some point.

By the way...Tyus Jones, the PG you're talking about is still on Minny...2 years guaranteed on his contract right now.

Ainge is like an old rich guy who dies with all of his money in the bank.
