I think he is on the verge of becoming an All Star
lol we are speaking to everyone, hopefully we young pieces though
I would make a run at Waiters.. he'd be a nice compliment to Frankie in the backcourt.
Maybe a sign & trade for Melo. Could see D.Wade joining Melo in Miami.
Ira Winderman: Was told in Orlando that Knicks very much in play for Waiters.

Waiters only makes a little less than 3 mill. I'd say a contact similiar to Courtney Lee is fair... then we absorb Marcus Smart. Would be nice to add Jonathan Simmons instead, but Waiters is a kid on the rise. Would make for an interesting season
Do you guys follow advanced stats? Waiters is far below being even an average player.
If the $ is not outrageous he's a young guy (25)that can flourish in Honacek's offense. I would look to sign Shabbazz Mohammed (24) as well.
Pg: Waiters (25)
Sg: Frankie Nt (18)
Sf: Shabazz (24)
Pf: KP (22)
C: Willy (23)
Not to mention what we may get if we trade both Melo & C.Lee

Add Marcus Smart And all of a sudden were playing defense out there
If it is a sign and trade Miami that sends them Lee or Melo, then it makes some sense if we can sign waiters for under $13 mill a year, which we should be able to do. I would try to send them Melo too. We could take back mcRoberts contract.
He'll go back to the heat- he likes it there, he was good for them and they have the cap space, only reason it hasn't gotten done yet is because they were waiting on Hayward.
I think e loves Miami and I think they want him back. I think they wanted a shot at Hayward and needed to get Bosh's money off the books. I would love him on the Knicks, but I think he goes back to the Heat.
Hard to press him away from Miami.
We're a complete rebuild situation with a Melo trade still on the horizon.
After moving place to place, he finally fits in Miami.
Don't see why he wants to come to LA or NY unless the money is a really big gap with what NY offers and Miami.

I can't see him leaving either. I loved his article for The Players Tribune.

No way he leaves the heat for us, I presume he's just using us to get a better contract with the heat
FWIW Waiters apparently followed O'Quinn and Melo on twitter.
May have nothing to do with this though.

I would go where I would be able to shine the most. He's a good fit with all 3 options, all though he wont see as much time with the lakers, his position is pretty stack over there
I would really dig this if it happens as a Ntilikina/Waiters backcourt in the longrun would be really, really nice. Two young guys who do completely different things but complement one another well. In the meantime Baker is also a nice short term starter with Waiters, not as good as Dragic, but Baker will get Waiters the ball in his strong spots.
If Mills manages to dump Lee's contract and sign Waiters to a 3 yr deal, I will be impressed. Waiters fits in perfectly with what we're trying to do, and will offset the scoring loss after the eventual Melo departure.
Nitty, Waiters, KP, Willy looks good on paper for a promising young core.
