Plays for Dallas SL team. He's a much better version of what the Knicks think Nigel Hayes is. He's put up nice numbers and has looked good in every game . He was a fantastic college player and has all the skilled for the rugged 4-5 interior slot. Cost nba min

My guess is they thought he was a rugged 4 who fit triangle specifications form that position. I think Warney has the actual physical goods to play that spot in the NBA. Hayes is not there.

Almost certainly not. As an undrafted rookie it's a near certainty he's not.
He's playing the 9th most amount of minutes on a summer league team missing Baker and the Knicks #1 draft pick.
I think it's safe to say the Knicks don't think Hayes is anything more than summer league roster filler.
