Nobody us talking about him and he's been our best pg in summer league so far
I seriously doubt that fans are actually watching these games. You can't get too caught up in the score or W/L. You have to focus on the actual players to identify transferable skills and acumen for the game. Rattan-Mayes is a much more natural ball handler than any of the other PG's on the SL team. You can see his comfort level as a PG. I'd definitely bring him to camp but who knows what the Knicks plans are.
Randle def doesn't belong in the nba esp on thes Knick team. No way is he a pg. Too short for anything else
Mayes is a pg, randle is not. I would like to see Randle play the SG this season. Too short to be a started but can give solid back up role and fill up the bucket.

I think that's what the summer league is about for him. We found out that he is not a point guard. He definately can shoot the ball really well. He's worth keeping around but if we need a roster spot, he will be the first to go
XRM out with sore left knee
Randle can only dribble the ball up the court and shoot 3 pointers
Nothing else at a NBA level
If they keep him he should be molded into a Derek Fisher type of guard as he can't be anything else in the NBA in opinion
Randle showed a lot of potential last year with the big club and a lot of teams were interested in him. It's unfair to judge him on 5 summer league games. I agree...he surprisingly didn't play well, but he's still an elite shooter and can bring at least that to a 2nd unit.

he did? Not in my book. In comparison, I thought Baker shined and Randle flopped

Tough to compare the two. If you recall, Randle would have made the team over Baker out of training camp had he not gotten injured. Also, if you recall, Baker looked terrible in the Summer League last year until Randle showed up after missing the first 2 games (says a lot about Summer League).
Baker became one of Horny's favorites and a preferred player, which got him more of an opportunity. He's a lot stronger, tougher and a better defender than Randle. Randle is a much better shooter and scorer right now. They're different types of players but both have value on a team.
