On a separate note. I think KOQ for Smart makes sense for both teams given the needs.

Because that's a reasonable request and likely to be agreed to.

LMAO

We are not getting the Nets' pick, but I think it's reasonable for the Knicks to be the recipient of some kind of draft pick from the Celtics and not the other way around.

They are calling us, and THEY want to shed cap space...no need for us to take a player who probably won't want to stay with us after the upcoming season is over without a draft pick sweetener.

Didn't say it was reasonable, but I would love tp stick it to the Celtics.

Why on earth would we trade a pick for a marginal upgrade tho a few more wins? They have a need to dump salary, we don't have a need to take on anything. We should be looking to fleece them not the other way around.

Knicks get Crowder and Smart and Bradley
Houston gets Melo
Boston gets Anderson, Courtney Lee, Capella

Realgm verified to work.

How does taking on Anderson help them? When they are trying to shed salary?

If Boston is looking for space from other teams, instead of looking at a sign and trade first, that is just weird. If Boston is looking for first round picks, that is ambitious for one year rentals. The possible Crowder/Haywood swap is the ideal swap for both teams. Now if they are looking to clear salary for another FA, they aren't getting first rounders for either Smart or Bradley no matter how good they are. Swaps like that are the absorbing team doing the other team a favor.

O'Quinn is more valuable than Smart. If you've watched any of our summer league you know how important strength and rim protection is to our team.

At least you know what you're getting, and they are experience and young.

I don't get it with precious draft picks, like 85% of the league and draft are role players, and like 1 to 3 players becomes more...you going to wait to draft and develop a younger crowder or smart.. really

What ever happen to "GET it while it's hot"

If it's hot, it wont be gettable unless someone forces a trade. If it's gettable it's about to cool down in a hurry because its damaged goods. Only remaining options are drafting or being established championship contenders that people want tho come to. Really this isn't that hard. The role players you draft cost nothing the Crowders of the world can cost you a chance to draft one of those top 1-3 players. But yeah let's keep starfukking

Exactly. 1248's mindset would make some sense if there wasn't a draft lottery or a salary cap.

If Utah gets a chunky trade exception, this could be good for the Knicks if Utah has any interest in Kevin Love.
