LOL.....I agree that we jumped the gun Kornet, but I do believe that Dotson has an NBA jumper and an NBA physique (pause)....I will say this though, Mitchell who was taken after Frank is balling. Yes, its just summer league, but you can tell who has the goods and who doesn't, regardless. Frank better be the goods...

They had two guys that were on the big team last year and three of their second round picks. They also had Hornacek coaching the team. They weren't world beaters by any means but the team was not good, lacked talent and Randle looked like a guy you might not offer a camp invite to.

And the 44th pick isn't bad at all. He rebounded well in college and rebounds well in summer league. He shot well in college and shoots well in summer league. I think these skills will translate. Just need to build up the defense which he has the size, length and athleticism to do. If he works hard at his game and develops ball handling then he could be really good in a few years.

That's obvious to anyone who knows the higher score wins.
But it's got nothing to do with how the Knicks draft. They don't have a first rounder, much less a lottery pick, anywhere near this team.
I'm puzzled with how bad the team is.
I get it, its summer league.
My only hope is in years past, our SL team rocked, and gave effort, and then our regular squad sucked awful. Maybe we flip that script?

Kornett looks like a bigger version of Steve Novak.
Really sad at this point in time we have so few good youg prospects. Most teams are over flowing with talent. Sixers, celtics, jazz so many more teams. A lot of talent in this draft just passed us by. Not sure why we couldn't trade up or acquire more draft picks.

Golden state whiz won the title went in and acquired pick 38 for cash
And got Jordan Bell who will probably be a top 15 value in the draft. We didnt-- we spent our money on Kornett

I think they did a fine job--nothing wrong with what they did. They brought in shooters with good size who defend and they have a nice looking athletic Euro who has some Jeremy lin in him. I wouldve rather had Burton than Cornett --but they seemed high on Cornett.

I didn't say we did a bad job drafting. I'm hoping as a fan that positive things happen-- but the reality is our SL team was bad.( I wanted denote burton in rd 2) And I am NOT advocating tank-- if were bad ok. We had position 4 this year-- that was where you tank. I don't want to start a season by saying it's over
I'd like to see us trade for Bledsoe and work a salary cap trade with Denver
We would like the best SL team if we played Willy (1) Kuz (1) Baker (1) with these guys.
Lots of teams are playing one year experienced players who already are in a NBA rotation.
We took no one out of our rotation, and the only kid who was supposed to make it in the rotation this upcoming year and would play this SL was Frank and he's injured.
Would have been a totally different team with Willy, Kuz, Dotson, Ntilikina and Baker starting 5.
And some of you think were going to develop players..
I see we're doing a good job developing kuz, KP, and willy, all of whom chose there country over knicks development program and summer league.

Im not even sure people here understand what summer league is for. Summer league is like OTAs. Its a chance for coaching staff to work with prospects and get to know them, and oh yea.. there are some games.
Lest we forget Majec Lampe... Summer league superstar.
