There's been a lot of talk of a Houston, Portland, New York trade.
Been hearing this too last couple of hours. Apparently this kid is Jason Kidd's son, and he was the first to report Noah's recruitment of Lee last summer, and Lopez being involved in the Rose trade. Has some credibility.
We would get back Harkless (24) and Leonard (25). Both get paid about 10 mill per year and have 3 more years on their contracts (Melo has 2). But they're young and rotation players. Mo had the best season of his career last year in an expanded role.
Not sure about this.
Blazers fans seem to want to keep Harkless and dont care much about Leonard. Is he such a bad player?

Those contracts suck, especially Leonards, he is god awful and 3 more years at 10 a season. To be honest even though he is poison I just keep him and hope he opts out
I don't want Meyers but i'll take Harkless, Ed Davis, C.Swanigan, A.Aminu or any other low years and low money players. I'd think about taking back A.Crabbe in the deal cause i do think he's a good player but that contract..............

Harkless & Aminu would be great. They are both perfect compliments to KP & Willy. But Portland if they are taking back Anderson they are going to want to dump Leonard. They probably view Anderson as an upgrade over Leonard and are willing to give up Harkless to make the swap.

I'm still a little skeptical that this 3 way talk is even real. They have M.Leonard, J.Nurkic, E.Davis, F.Ezeli and just drafted C.Swanigan and Z.Collins (who was one of my favorite players in the entire draft) who are all center/PF's so why would they want another C/PF in Ryno? I guess it could be because his skill takes place behind the 3 point line but i'm still not so sure this is real.

Not even sure why people get excited giving up an all star player for scrubs. Harkless and Leonard offer zero value and Ryno is a one dimensional player. Most of the players ppl throw around this board for Melo is shocking. Ppl honestly thought Crawford, A. rivers was a great deal. Im sorry I would be very disappointed getting back role players for someone of Melos caliber.
Lets try to compete this year.
Much rather keep Melo than take back an assortment of players on long contracts that dont make sense. Id rather release him then do a bad trade.

We did this before--Patrick Ewing and 20 years later we still are cursed. Of course Portland wants to get rid of their sht????? When an NBA team wants to get rid of their sht--they call up the Knicks.

Also, the Wojo tweet about Houston making moves makes this seem like something is going to happen.
Houston is not a fit as they have no assets to give up. Even in a 3 way trade. Neither is clevland if Love is not being discussed. With the NTC in play makes the most sense to keep Melo.

Houston's main asset is Anderson. Portland seems interested. Portland has guys like Harkless that we seem to like. Maybe Crabbe too? Harkless plus Crabbe's salaries are almost equal to Melo's.
