Lebron takes all our head cases and makes them better. He even knocked the feminine side out of Channing Frye!!!
D. Rose would actually be good there. He can really bolster that 2nd unit when Kyrie is on the bench

Still don't get how terrible defense doesn't matter.
Gilbert will give Lebron everything he wants, then sell the team to him.

They have enough defenders to actually protect Rose

agree... good fit. Rose can score. He will help them. Look at how he played last year. He would be a great 6th man for them.

5-4 is 5 on 4, no matter how good your 4 are.
He's not that good of an offensive player anymore.

dude most NBA players are not greatd defenders, and the league has catered its rule to the offensive side of the ball. To me, it's all about the defensive system that matters more.
Hes better then D.Williams.
Typical though. Starting PG 2nd option for the Knicks, then a role player for another team.
In an instant offense role he would be solid.
Good for him. Better them than us.

His individual negative effect on the Knicks, more pronounced than most of his teammates, suggests, even relatively, it matters.
If Rose is going to play for $2.1 mil for the cabs, I would offer him a deal of $8 mil to play here for one season and then trade him in February. Baker and Frank are not ready to start and giving them a half a season to grow probably would be a good thing.

Can't.
Knicks no longer have $8m, or his Bird Rights, which they renounced to sign Hardaway.
Vet's min is the Knicks current best offer.
I'll admit, the anti-D Rose people were right last year. He had his moments and considering it was a low risk/high reward move I was OK with deal. But they warned us he would not be good for us and they were right. However, we really couldn't go into last season with pretty much the same squad as the previous season.
LOL-
IF I am NY, After Rose signs, I would offer Melo for Irving.
Rose and Irving are similar players. Both get to the hoop, no D, Irving is a better shooter.
Rose
LBJ
Melo
Love
TT
JR
Shump
Frye
Korver
Tavares
Osman
Calderon
Williams
Not a bad team...they should be able to score with GS.

It was a medium risk, no reward move. It lead to us signing Noah. Grant would be our top PG now and would fit nicely with our long-term plans.

LOL...No way Cleve does this!! Irving is 3x the player Rose is at this point in his career. Also, Rose got injured, again, toward the end of the yr playing with us.

Actually Lopez was the big loss. Grant showed no progress over his rookie season so if he would be our top PG we would be in big trouble. Phil didn't have to sign Noah just because we got Rose so I wouldn't attached that deal to getting Rose. There were other cheaper bigs we could've pursued. Phil just got suckered into signing Noah. THAT deal was high risk.
