Hes from West Orange NJ. NY is on his list probably due to having local ties.

Kyrie isn't a FA, Cleveland controls who he is traded to. You have to persuade Cleveland with a deal not Irving.

It's not the same as having a NTC but I do think it's a partial deterrent if a player announces he doesn't want to go to a team that had been considering trading for him.

IDK about that. Melo is set on leaving to chase a ring, Porzingis knows that. Melo also mentioned the Cavs as a possible destination, its what he said he wanted.
