Damyean Dotson's deal with the Knicks is a 3-year contract, per league sources. Two years of the deal are fully guaranteed, sources say.
Nice contract by Perry. Nice draft pick by Phil.
While big and stupid thing are being proposed and discussed small a smart moves are done by new front office.
So far so good.
Nice I really like this kids potential, quite the sharp shooter!
He's interested in defense, rebounds, and can do more with the ball than just shoot it.
Good move.
Our 2 guard spot is set for the future with Hardaway starting and Dotson coming in off the bench.
I think Dotson will make it in the league as a two way bench player. Has a real 3 point range, and showed the NBA abilities to defend. Lets see if he does that at the highest level but liked his play in the SL.
Signing this kid long term was a must, in fact, they should have signed him to four years. His agent probably would only allow him to sign for three so he can become a free agent sooner after proving himself. The kid is going to be a solid player. He has an advanced game and he sticks to what he knows how to do well. Great addition to the team.
Knicks have some good young players in the pipeline. Would like to see some veteran role players added as well. No retreads though. If not now, then maybe through trade as the season progresses.

Norhing wrong with a retread as long as the contract is reasonable. Lance is a good example of a guy I'd want.

He wasn't a retread when we got him. Just saying would like the Knicks to find more players like pre-injuries Lance, than the current version. I dont mind the team being a little short handed of vets at first, more PT for the yoots.
At some point however, Id like to see a good mix of vets and youth. Not there yet. These are the early stages of a rebuild. At least I hope it still will be after the Melo trade.
Before he got hurt Lance was actually getting raves from other coaches around the league, were mentioning it to reporters. That was a while ago.
Glad Dotson is locked in. Can't complain about the overall game seems to have. He looks ready to rock.
Finally a good move this off season.
Favorite move this offseason. 1) I didn't know who Dotson was. 2) Showed well so far. 3) Contract make sense. I hope he gets a real shot with the Knicks. Could be a real steal.
Good...in the back of my head I was starting to wonder.
