Knicks · Lebron to the knicks in 2018? (page 1)

Blake griffin seems to think so

That's what I said. But I think this was taken out of context for the headline after reading the article. I think it was meant to mean he would even go to NY before he comes to LA. As in how much he wouldnt' t go to LA, not how much he would come to NY.

ramtour420 @ 8/21/2017 1:18 AM
Don't want him, he reAlly should sign with Golden State.
Jmpasq @ 8/21/2017 7:18 AM
Only way that happens is Lebron is convinced he could win a title meaning Frank, Willy, KP, and Hardaway all need to be at least fringe All Stars, and 2 of them have to be legit All stars
Nalod @ 8/21/2017 7:59 AM
Not sure what this all means but Melo stays, Chris Paul a Free agent next year with the yoot and yoot contracts of NTilkina KP and Willy, perhaps we do a trade or 3, but before we get starphuch dust in our eyes I do think its all just one mans thinking out loud and the logistics of Lakers and Clippers don't exactly Match. Lakers will have cap room but no organic "star" on the roster. Ball will still be raw and Paul George is the likely Free agent signing.. Clippers have big money committed to Grif and if anything in need of a retooling. Knicks have picks, picks to trade, some cap flex coming if Melo stays and resigns for less money (think "Heatles"). Trade frank for CP3 next summer and do a two year old man starphuch. Not sure I'm down for old banana boat team.

Who needs Lebron? We got Michael Beasely! They play the same position!
Blake Griffin is done with car commercials so now he's doing player personnel promos?

Anyone really think LeQ is going to want to endure this media circus at this stage in his career? I don't see that.

He goes anywhere, it's GS to win 3 or 4 rings with KD and crew. Would be interesting to see if he would end up possibly effing that team up instead. Bad legacy to leave behind.

GustavBahler @ 8/21/2017 9:47 AM
Sounds like Griffin wants to keep LeBron from coming to the West. I dont blame him.

Unless Frank wins ROY (or close), KP and Willy become at least borderline All-Stars, I dont see it happening.

GustavBahler @ 8/21/2017 10:16 AM
TMZ asked LeBron about it....

I don't even know what you're talking about, shawty," LeBron told our female photog ... right before hopping into his clean white Porsche.

We asked some follow-up questions -- LeBron was super nice to our photog. But ultimately, we got more information about his rap music preferences than his basketball plans.

This is Lebrons world we're just living in it.

In my opinion.... If he comes to ny and they win a chip, he would hands down be the greatest player to ever play. The new York factor, especially since we've been the laughing stock so long would put LeBron in a class buy himself

SupremeCommander @ 8/21/2017 3:23 PM
this is so 2010
Nalod @ 8/21/2017 3:53 PM
I always thought Jordan would have been a knick, not a Wizard when he came back.
And I thought he'd come back after one year. Not three.
He retired from Bulls after the 1998 season at age 34. He returned to start the 01-02 season at age 35.
Still, his stats with the wiz were not that bad.
arkrud @ 8/21/2017 6:42 PM
What Lebron wonts... LeBron gets...
Clean @ 8/21/2017 10:26 PM
Fake News. Everyone is rumored to the Knicks and they never come. All we get are old, rejects or severely flawed players. Rule #1 as a Knick fan is ignore FA rumors.

Handwriting on the wall he will end up a Laker.

Both LBJ and Paul George, along with Ball, Ingram, Randle, etc, would be an interesting team. Wade won't be able to get another long contract, so he might sign for cheap. Melo and Paul would likely try to squeeze under the Over 38 Rule and sign with someone else.

Nike and the league administration would also see the raw profit in it.

Bonn1997 @ 8/22/2017 7:22 AM
Probably more like 2022

Very true, IF he gets 6 chips. But he gotta get 6+ to supplant MJ.

Nalod @ 8/22/2017 10:15 AM
Funny, we don't talk much about Pippens 6. Without Pip, jordan don't have 6.

GOAT? I don't think so; his Finals batting average would still suck, even if he wins 6+. MJ only won. Russ won so many fuhuqcking times, one loss doesn't count.

well, can the lakers get severely penalized if they are found guilty of tampering with George? I know it is hard to prove but the pacers wouldn't file it if there weren't some validity to it. if that happens, then that plan could be blown to bits. I don't think LeBron would go to the knicks anyway. the only intriguing aspect is playing with kp ( maybe melo if we decide to keep him) and the garden. the cap room is destroyed anyway.

I saw that there are people (including Screamin A) that think that the tampering is BS. I think that's ridiculous. The Lakers traded the former #2 overall (albeit a disappointing one) for basically a salary dump. You can't tell me that the Lakers would rather have Brook Lopez than Paul George. Similarly, I'm pretty sure the Pacers would rather of had a package built around Russell. The only way the Lakers prefer using Russell to dump Mozgov is if they know that Paul George is coming via UFA
