Never like to see a player injured. Once a Knick...

Has any player recovered well from that injury? Isn't that what finished off.. Azebuke? (the player from Golden State we traded Lee for) and baron Davis

EnySpree @ 10/21/2017 5:17 AM
I think this injury is easier to come back from. I know a few guys that came back to dunking a basketball and they weren't NBA players
JesseDark @ 10/21/2017 6:18 AM
Isn't a ruptured petella tendon is what McDyss had a few years back?

Yup... took a while but he had a decent career after. He also has a knee injuries before that required surgery

Has basically ended Victor Cruz's career. I think it's the same injury that Baron Davis and Shaun Livingston had also.

It's a damn shame. Always going to love Lin; those 20 games were the most fun I've had as a Knicks fan this millennia.

He has a three year deal. I suppose it takes at least 1.5 years to get over this.
Most careers don't last as long as his nor as lucrative. The kid made some serious coin.
HE was a great story and has had a "Good" career by most standards!

And yet there is Ray Felton still doing it in OKC after all these years!!!

meloshouldgo @ 10/21/2017 11:04 AM
Brutal injury. Hope he makes a comeback. NBA needs some feel good stories

this is year 2 of that three year deal.

So great that he got paid- glad now it was not with us.

He will opt in to the third for sure next summer and probably still be 6 months from being able to contribute - got to figure that is April 2019- and wow- that is just the worst money spent.

Cruz came to mind right away. I think it ended Charlie Garner's career as well but he was older.

What might be worse than that is spending money on Chris Paul.

Yep-- complete massive risk for a player who never stays healthy
mlby1215 @ 10/21/2017 3:41 PM
It is very sad to hear. Hopefully he will get well soon.
