Yup yup. There's a reason Woodson never found another head coaching gig, it's because he can't coach worth a damn. On the other hand the people who were adding for Jeff to be fired are looking pretty stupid now.

That has been the case with every coach when melo was here, and his teammates just relied on him so much.
These guys play really well together, and it just seems like everyone know their role..

Every coach not named Woodson tried to make Melo play in the flow of the offense and ended up getting either fired (MDA, Fisher) or pushed to the edge(Jeff) because Melo flat out refused to do anything even remotely close to team basketball.

Jeff was trying to do the same things last year but DRose, Melo and Jennings were RESISTING. Jeff had more success with the younger players. Now people wanted Rambis gone but this year you can see the players responding and executing his defensive schemes. Jeff and Rambis were getting killed but now with a team that is giving Max Effort and Buying In you can see that they’re effective coaches after all.

+1. He is rewarding good play regardless of who he puts on the bench. He has been quick to bench guys if they dont play any defense and rewarded those that have. He has kept the offense pushing the pace and with constant moving. Every time down their are at least 3 or 4 screen and cuts. Right now it is the kind of team and offense anyone would want to put maximum effort for. That is the kind of system most players would want to play for. As for strategy, If you look at last night game, he made a key change by putting KP at the 5 and LT at the 4. Really put pressure on Howard and made a big difference in the comeback. Which he also did last against Indiana. Happy with his coaching so far. But then again, winning makes everything good. So hopefully we keep doing that.

Our current PG rotation has been extremely unselfish and they make extra effort to get the rest of the players engaged. Gone are sequences where only 1 or 2 players would be involved in the offense. These guys make an extra effort to make sure everyone stays involved in the offense. Their teammates are more engaged and as a result, you're seeing more production out of our role players. Worth noting - Courtney Lee is having a career year as a distributor - averaging over 3 APG for the first time in his career. Passing becomes contagious. (I forgive KP and Kanter because they're shooting such high percentages - if you can shoot that well, never pass)

This team appears to keep playing the guys that are playing well. If its injury to Kuz or Baker, then so beit. They sit. Team wins, the minutes are gone.
Don't mean for ever. Willy can be mad, but he has to see KOQ is playing his arse off and nobody saw Kanter as being a Knick and this effective!
Nalods take (Dammit, I can't resist) is this knick team is competitive for minutes and gone are huge contracts that created problems. Rose, Melo and (lessor degree) Jennings had different agendas. A young team is competing for minutes. Rose did not fit. Melo did not fit.
Moving forward we have Dougie takning Bea's minutes. Bea's has to play hard to get it back. This is a big component to the teams recent success. A competitive environment!!! Im going to guess that KP likes being a star and winning vs. being offended for Willy if traded. If they are good friends KP should want willy to get a chance to play!!! That's what friends do!
Noah is coming back. What we don't know is how has he looked in Practice and will it translate to on the court in a game. He might be a beast! If so, he might be tradable. At the same time this creates a problem for WIlly SHORT TERM (this season).
Its logical Perry will get offers for him or KOQ. What a nice problem to have, a slew of centers who are healthy and playing well!
Willy will get a chance. I don't know how or when.
