This guy is going to be great for us, what a improvement on defense !!! This guy is home!!
reub@ 11/7/2017 10:54 PM
20 points on 8 shots tonight!
nixluva@ 11/7/2017 11:15 PM
He’s been really showing flashes of good ball this year and he’s getting better. He totally fits the TEAM concept and how this team plays now.
VDesai@ 11/7/2017 11:19 PM
McBuckets playing defense, cutting to the basket, hitting clutch 3s. This guy just needed a real chance to.play. this is a former college player of the year!
franco12@ 11/7/2017 11:21 PM
We smoked OKC on the Melo trade.
Ira@ 11/8/2017 2:34 AM
Wow. He has to be feeling very good after having a great game and playing a key role in getting the w.
Welpee@ 11/8/2017 8:03 AM
We need to set up more plays to get him open. From what I remember his 3 pt % on spot up 3s is off the charts.

Wouldn't it be easier to just change your sig line?
jrodmc@ 11/8/2017 8:06 AM
Guy never stops moving. Shades of Dollar Bill. Only with hops!
HofstraBBall@ 11/8/2017 8:47 AM
Was going to make a thread on McBuckets as well. He seems to be, so far, our new and improved Steve Novak. He just does not miss from the 3pt. line. Big difference is that he can also finish, has speed to the basket and is playing good defens (Unlike Novak) I think as he improves his catch and shoot he can be another Korver. He has been a great surprise.
SupremeCommander@ 11/8/2017 8:58 AM
I know it's early, but Dougie McBuckets looks like the future at SF... I am a lot less interested in tanking for a SF now that McB is shooting -- and balling -- like that. He very well could develop a complete game. Love it
Ira@ 11/8/2017 9:16 AM
Count me as one of those who thought McD was a waste at the time of the trade. He's proving me wrong and I love it.
anrst@ 11/8/2017 9:36 AM
Scott Perry is the man.
Imagine if we had Ryan Anderson ... or just bought out Melo
Imagine OKC offering us Carmelo for Kanter, McDermott AND the Bulls high second round pick!

i will gladly say that i was a big proponent of our acquisition of dougie mcbuckets. he's had a tough time adjusting to the nba game since coming into the league, but his college career, alone, was enough for me to know that this kid can play. i never thought i'd see him playing defense the way that he is right now, but i always thought the offense would be there. he's spreading the floor beautifully and is has been a huge reason for the success of our second unit. he's a coach's son, you know he knows how to play the game the right way and would keep working until he got things right. very impressed by him so far this year.

Also makes Kuz expendable (and Beasley for that matter). Though I have to admit I wish we could've kept Justin Holiday.

Guy is a keeper--an absolute 5 year deal for my man.
Knixkik@ 11/8/2017 10:22 AM
Who would have thought we would land 2 potential keepers and a draft pick for Melo.
GustavBahler@ 11/8/2017 10:28 AM
Doug has exceeded my expectations. Wasnt expecting the chip on his shoulder. I believe you can make a case for either Doug or Lance starting. Good problem to have.

Yeah...I've been impressed with his D, definitely not as bad as I was led to believe.
The other surprise for me, because I have not seen him play much during his career is that he is a hell of a lot more than a jump shooter. Probably cuts to the basket without the ball more than anyone we have on the team, and he finishes well around the basket.
A pleasant surprise.

Might end up being true...or he'll become a 6th Man of the Year type player.
The fact that he looks competitive on D is the big take away for me so far.
Fingers crossed.

Where is Triple Threat with his 3 page dissertation about how this guy is a waste of a roster space, how because he had a bad rookie year he can't ever improve ( even with a new system) , he is too slow for the NBA, etc, etc ? ( all the reasons he gave for Trey Burke. I explained why it is worth a try to have him play in the G league. Nothing to lose)
