Starters:
Frank
Dotson
Lee
KP
Kanter
Bench:
KOQ
Beasley
McDermott
Jack
It's time to thrust Frank and Dotson into the limelight if we are going to lose games. Let them build the chemistry with KP and Kanter (and THJr) when he comes back.
I don't understand the over exuberance around here with Dotson. He's scored a grand total of 53 points in the NBA. How/when did he earn a spot in the starting line up? Chill out.
Seems like you want us to go 0-forever on this road trip....Good luck with that
Bye Felicia...

He might be the future backup to THJr and considering THJr is out...I'd rather give him the mins instead of LT. It is also a FASTER lineup for us instead of having LT who is really a half court player.

We are 2 of 12 on road trips with KP with THJr...i am not sure how you think this lineup is going to do much worse??
Bump. Who’d you rather see

looks like a tanking line up, and you know that's not happening until april
I am ok with starting Frank, also ok with him coming off the bench - he is getting minutes and he closes out games so he is getting minutes against starters.
I think Dotson definitely needs minutes - not sure I want him to start. Lee deserves to start at the 2, and we don't really have a starter at the three. But he should get minutes over Lance Thomas at this point - Lance is a great team guy but he is filler, Dotson can be an important piece and we need to develop him. Maybe start Doug and bring Dotson off the bench as his back up and then let Dotson slide over to back up Lee for a few games and see how that works? We have too many SGs, half a starting PG in Jack and no starting SFs. We also have Kanter as the starting Center and that's borderline. This is a very disbalanced roster.

This. Start Dotson for the last 5 games of the season if you are letting vets go seems reasonable. Nothing about Dotson's play has said start him. He seems like a developmental player that should get run in the d league and occasional minutes in blow out games this year.

The guys that work the hardest in practice and give the Knicks the best chance to win. That is who always should be playing.
Has anyone else noted that Frank is struggling enough with second unit guys at this point. Not sure why there is a desire to make things even harder for him.
Not sure why people are saying that this would be a tanking lineup. Would it be any worse than the non tanking lineup?
Yes. Frank is not a starter at this point. He struggles against second unit guys. Dotson is a developmental player that hopefully develops with spot minutes and time in the g league

The problem is the knicks do not have any pg that deserves to be starting which will probably push Franks into the starting unit after the all star break

And what exactly are the starters doing on the road?

He has also finished a lot of games against starters and done very well.
I put it differently: he is not yet dominating second unit guys as perhaps he could. He has also not taken the starting PG spot from Frank, something that he should be able to do. But he is getting better.
All the Knicks have to do is lose as many home games as they win on the road and they will be 500. With that said if the Knicks can ever manage to get their group healthy and play road games together they will win a lot of road games. Especially those against below 500 teams. With a healthy team I see the Knicks playing above 500 on the road. 6-4 in 10 isn’t unrealistic.

Well that’s not really the point of this thread right? I’m still waiting for a legitimate reason to not just hand Frank and Dotson the keys until THJr comes back?
It’s not like we are winning without doing that. Definition of insanity is to keep repeating the same actions expecting a different result.
This is not the beginning of the season. We are midway through and we are who we are until we change something.
