Sure they can But they'd be stupid to do so
Running an offense with CLee/Afflalo and Calderon/Rose is a lot harder than when you have to run an offense with having a shot creator and guard like Kobe or Jordan in the backcourt.
We are seeing this year even without the Triangle unless you get a great backcourt you can't run an offense at a high level.
Jarret Jack CLee not enough ... our offense has same challenges even with changing systems This team needs more talent in the backcourt
