NBA has at least 10 teams who suck every year.
And no motivation to be competitive.
If real minor league will exist and 2 teams will move up and down from minor league to NBA and back this will be completely different story.
If some G-leaguer making it to NBA this is a story. Imagine if some G-league team will make to NBA. What a story this will be...

last year 28 wins would have you tied for 4th worst in the league. Lots of bad teams out there that are going way overboard in the tank.

I think because this is the last year under the current system- next year the lottery odds are evened out, so it becomes much more difficult to secure a top 3 pick

Latest ESPN mock have Michael Porter Jr falling to 8th. personally, I think the Magic will take him if they land 5th (too high to justify taking tone of the PGs), but how do people feel about him if he was available when we picked? Is the back injury recoverable from?

oh yes, good catch

And final question- who would compliment Frank better in the backcourt- Sexton or Trae Young?

Not sure on fit but I'm not a Trae fan --- just something about him along with lack of size/strength/D.

I think Sexton is PERFECT for NY and could be perfect next to KP/Frank.

Sexton = NBA athlete, elite explosion, elite rim attacker, can finish --- and he is a blanking GAMER.

Sexton
Frank
Timmy
KP
Kanter

Fill in the blanks....

The Magic needs a PG desperately and I can see them taking Young. Porter might just fall to us.

I'd be thrilled to get Michael Porter, or Mikal Bridges.... we definitely need a good small forward who can reliably switch to any position on defense and shoot the three.

DeVincenzo is a stud. I don't see him lasting to pick 37. We would have to go back into the first round to get him. And that's IF he comes out.

Bulls will not allow themselves to win.

We are so unbelievably dumb we will go for the win.

Pistons have given up...their game with the Bulls should be a dog. Will be interesting to see the Bulls player substitutions.

Agree with you on the Celtics, and the Nets have been playing decent ball.

Even yesterday we played hard...too hard. For what it is worth, the players are not giving up, even though we are missing 3/5 of our starting lineup.

Do Cavs have a tiebreaker advantage over Philly if they finish with the same record? Philly plays the Bucks...you have to figure both the Cavs and Philly will play to win

We should have been competing for the #6 slot. Just like my other team, the Jets, we simply cannot learn to tank...goes back to when we couldn't lose enough to get Steph Curry...

Damn, the Knicks opened up season too hot.

martin @ 4/10/2018 4:04 PM
This probably means that CLE will WANT to win on Wednesday

Is that from the guys at the old draftexpress guys? Porter would be an amazing get. I don't think he lasts until 8 but if he did the Knicks would be lucky to get him.
CrushAlot @ 4/10/2018 8:31 PM
Draftnet updated their mock today. They have Porter going 3rd.

I would rest Porter for the whole season and let him heal if we can draft him. This might get us the top pick next year and set us up for the following season with KP returning to full strength and Frank maturing.

Burke
Frank
Porter
KP
Barrett

IMHO can't be ANY complaints about how Knicks played out this season. When KP was hot and rolling like an all world Unicorn, Knicks played to win. After wheels started to come off, they tanked hard. Maybe not on purpose, but record plays out.

martin @ 4/11/2018 1:55 PM

New York @ Cleveland
Brooklyn @ Boston
Chicago vs Detroit

I don't think anybody was confident that KP would continue that stretch of good play. It was his first time as the lone franchise player, so he came out to prove a point....then trailed off back to earth. I think without KP, our record reflects how bad this roster was. And using the words tanking is just a cover up. We didn't start taking until they sat Jack, and that was weeks after KP went down. So JH tried and players tried to win! JH security wasn't stable so he has something prove and G league players are always trying to make it in the NBA, so they were not tanking. We just sucked and KP covered some of our flaws earlier in the season.
