Knicks · Mock Draft : Lebron & Trae Young (page 1)
Mo Bamba sure would be nice. 19 super athletic and defensive force. He can turn this thing North

Don't do this to yourself lol Mo Bamba is likely out of our reach. Draft.net has us reaching for the big at Maryland. Not to thrilled with that selection, but things are from set. They still have both Bridges in our range, too.

Diallo and Troy Brown are both solid options in our range. Both have the potential to turn into good 2-way wings. Duval is an option as a change of pace PG too. He can't shoot, but he's fast and will make plays.

I've been keying on those guys 2. We could trade down a few slots and still have a shot at one of them. I'm also hearing decent things about Musa in Europe. His defense sounds like it needs a lot of work, tho.

Considering we are at the bottom of the league in 3s Duval not an option. Look at Jackson Jr.

We don't shoot enough threes but we have shooters. What we need is playmakers who can create off the dribble and pull in the defense then dish out to shooters. Duval can do that. We have no playmakers in the 2nd unit and Duval would solve a huge need. If we want more threes, we need to get Lee, Hardaway, Porzingis, McDermott, and Thomas better looks from three. Also, Dotson could become a rotation player next season, who should shoot a ton of threes. It's all about ball movement and having a guy who can drive and dish and it will open things up from three.

I think Duval is too much of a project to take in the lottery. His shooting is so bad right now that it will be hard for him to make plays. Now, I could see us scooping him up if we traded down. Jared Vanderbilt is another project type to keep an eye on. Physically, he's exactly what our front court needs on defense. It'll be interesting to see how he rebounds from injury this season.

Do you think Duval is that big of a project? He's been good at Duke. Is there that much of a difference between he and DeAaron Fox from last season? Both are great athletes, good defenders, good length, good passers, bad shooters. I think Duval would be a solid backup PG from the start.

Fox had shown a better stroke from the free-throw line and mid-range than Fox. That gave scouts a little bit more hope about his project ability as a three-point shooter with more reps. Plus, I think Fox was a better floor general. Don't get me wrong, Fox will be a busy if he doesn't learn how to shoot, but he seemed to have a bit more going for him in that regard.

We may have to agree to disagree there. Maybe his shooting upside is slightly better, but Duval is definitely a better floor general.

No worries. Duval has all season to prove me wrong. We're all going out on a limb trying to predict guards. Look at last year. All of the scouting, nitpicking and consternation...the best guard looks like a guy picked in the late lottery. That's why some guys can look at a Trade Young and say star, while some guys can look at him and say not athletic enough.

You're definitely right. All this attention on the freshman guards and Mitchell was hiding in plain sight. It's impossible to predict this stuff.

He’s a nice player but at 6’9” 195 he will get pushed around. Mirotec is available. He shoots 46.5 behind the arc. Neither of them will be a defensive presence yet Mirotec is proven. I know he plays PF but I like him to play 3 and back up KP at the 4 and play 30 per night. If Lee can be moved we get younger and KP - Mirotec is nightmarish for defenses to guard.

Musa is a SF who can score...defense is a question mark given his measurements. Who is Mirotec?

I really like the top 6 I mean you might have 6-7 franchise players which is rare. then the next 2 are very solid--after it falls off the cliff.
