This is ridiculous. This has happened before when air raid sirens went off because of some computer glitch. Emergency messages should at least have two or three executions before being sent out.

agree. not too long ago, all if not 90+% of our nuclear stations were using floppy disks.

Just more proof of the lack of attention to detail and preparation. There are so many areas where this country needs to step up its game. Remember all the Navy ship collisions in thee Pacific? Standards of performance are not being upheld.

The VA Hospital issues are still a problem. It's just a lot of areas that aren't being properly addressed and are often underfunded.

Someone on cable news made a good point about the US having a much better early warning system than NK, and this false alarm happened. Just shows how fast this could get ugly with both sides on a hair trigger.

took a vet who's a friend to Atlanta VA hospital recently. day to day operations looked good from what i saw. no different than private practice. appointment started on time, oncologist assessment went well. but no idea about administrative stuff.

Why make the human error made worth by faulty software a political issue?
The state and federal system must have established procedures on how to act on alert and when it should be confirmed to the public.
If its nuclear ware head missile the only smart thing to do is "To wrap yourself in white blanket and slowly crawl in the direction of cemetery".
This was the most common Russian joke in late 70th and early 80th.

I am surprised Trump didn't respond by launching nukes at South Korea
