But for Rondo getting hurt last year, IT and Boston would have been a first round exit.
Got past Washington in 7.
Got creamed by Cavs in 5.
Isiah Thomas shot 42.5% in last years playoffs. 33% fro 3pt land. And then Boston had to HIDE him on defense.
You know how many players on the Boston team had a better eFG% than IT during the playoffs? ALL OF THEM except for Rozier, Smart and some dude named Mickey. Literally the whole team played better offensively over the course of the playoffs offensively and defensively than IT.
That is shading some reality.

This is a goofy post. Where is Boston without IT? HMMMMnot even in the playoffs. Fact #2 who had best record in east? Celtics. Who went to ECF finals--I dont want to hear excuses? Boston Who lead the NBA in 4th Q scoring IT2. who avg 29-6-3 over 76 games IT 2
IT2 got the Cs to ECF last year--can you tell me the last time the Knicks had the combination of best record and ECF--25 years ago atleast. That is reality.
Also IT2 was hurt in the playoffs and still played. He played even though his sister died. If anyone actually watched him he was the toughest hombre in the NBA. He wont be good w Cavs chemistry will sck.

Think this is a bit harsh. Thomas was an mvp candidate last year. Finished fifth but LBJ was fourth. If you have ever listened to Danny Ainge talk about Thomas you know he was a huge part of that organization and a tough guy to move on from.

It's a bit harsh but BRIGGS also pushing the line that IT dragged Boston to the ECF, so it's a fair rebuttal.

Martin--go pose that question on a Celtic formums and get back ot me--he most certainly did drag them into the playoffs and to the ECF.

If IT can be had for the MLE, we would have to consider. There is a good chance he won't get an offer beyond that.

And yet at the same time his team won despite his utterly glaring flaws and downright awful play during the playoffs.
You are looking for a shiny object to win a few more games and aren't patient enough to grow a team that would be set up for years to be a deep playoff team.
The Knicks with a broken IT who also never plays D will never go anywhere.
