Good to see knick guys getting calls up.
Be curious if we doing a better job than others via "Call ups"?

agreed, atleast we have guys on our g-league that others want.

kind of random, but does anyone know if allan houston is still running the gleague team? i haven't heard much about him since phil was fired.

reub @ 3/5/2018 3:42 PM
We should have been the ones to call up Nigel Hayes.

we got Troy Williams. Might agree we got the better player.
Nigel can shoot, not sure his handle and create his own as strong as Troy.

I think he is. Also, I think all of the guys that got call ups were guys Phil's team scouted and brought in for the summer league. Nice to see that 3 guys not on 2 way deals from Westchester got call ups.

If we can develop a rep for this type of movement. Will have more agents seeking our G league team.

Also, Miller and the WKnicks have to be getting some recognition for their developmental program.

agree man. i think we have a pretty damn good filler system - the original starting 5 being called up to the nba proves that. knicks have taken the g-league very seriously which is nice to see, now we just need some damn continuity with the big club and that will make what happens in westchester even all the more important.

This is where Mills should jump on the wave. Double down and try to increase the development process and results even higher. Maybe increase all coaching staff pay. Add in some more coaches maybe.

I'm not sure, but is there currently a cap on how much teams can pay coaches, assistants etc. in the G-League? It would be nice if we could pour additional resources in our affiliate to gain an advantage. Looks like the NBA as a whole is planning a major restructuring of how the minor leagues will be used.
Kemet @ 3/6/2018 2:20 PM
The Knicks biggest problem winning games this season were the poor-poor help they receive at both forward positions .. we needed Hicks n Nigel Hayes at the PF spot plus Troy Williams hustle at the SF spot.
CrushAlot @ 3/24/2018 8:44 PM
Raps have to decide tomorrow if they are keeping Hayes for the rest of the season. He has been back in the g league since 3/17 and his numbers and minutes are down from when he was in Westchester. I hope he gets to stay with the Raptors but I would not be surprised if he ends up heading back to Westchester.
