Troy Williams' trial this season is over.The next time he'll be with the Knicks will likely either be in Summer League or training camp.
The club announced Monday that Williams suffered a fractured jaw and is out for the season. The injury was sustained in the fourth quarter of Saturday's loss to the Pistons, when the 23-year-old forward collided with Ishe Smith.
Williams impressed on consecutive 10-day contracts with the Knicks before signing through next season on a partially guaranteed deal.

In 17 games with the Knicks, the athletic wing averaged 7.5 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 49 percent.
The Knicks (27-50), who are ninth in the lottery standings (one game behind Chicago), face the Orlando Magic on Tuesday.

I LOVE max hustle guys. Troy showed that he’s a bit out of control at times but there’s a lot of talent to work with. His jumper actually started to look better than I expected. Kid can slash and finish. Definitely can get out on the break. I see him as a possible rotation guy if they can coach him up a bit more.

That sucks, at least its not something that sounds potentially career threatening. Glad Troy will be here for another season. Gave the team some added energy and toughness. We need more of that. If we dont land a 3 somehow, Williams could be important next season.
