I'm actually looking forward to it this year- last year was bad! (didn't even get to see Frank because of his knee injury). Hope we see an improved Frank, and some potential from our rookies
WaltLongmire @ 6/24/2018 1:07 PM
We are out of the Orlando venue...that is important to me as a viewer...I hated the f'n TV camera optics in Orlando.

Looking forward to it.

Is Burke allowed to play, given the number of years he's been in the league...are their any restriction?

Dont know about the accuracy of your matchups, lol, but it should be a much more interesting SL, this time around. Would serve Frank well to build a rapport with the new draft picks. Get some bball esp going. The sooner, the better.

As others have pointed out, a player like Robinson is going to be dependent on teammates getting him the ball where he is most effective.

blkexec @ 6/24/2018 2:56 PM
If melo and lee had a baby. That's Knox

His potential is a combination of both on offense. And as Knox matures...he will be that bulky ball type on both ends....Cant wait to watch his game grow.

He doesn't need Summer League burn.

Maybe...but if he can play, he might endear himself to Fizdale, and he's been working out with a lot of the guys who will play.

there was one time that nate robinson was named mvp of summer league or something like that as a message like...
"dont come and back and play please...this is for 19,20,21,22 yr olds or people trying to make a roster."

Yeah..seem to remember that, which is why I wondered if Burke could play.

Tractor Traylor was also pretty old when he played in SL in 2008 and hurt Gallinari...looked at his stats-he hadn't played in a number of years, after being in the league for 7 years and being about 30 when he hurt Gallo.

Many guys go just to mingle with the younger guys, but don't actually play. I remember hearing Coach Clifford mentioned how Kemba actually ran drills with the summer league squad last year. I doubt Burke goes that far, but it wouldn't be unprecedented.
TheGame @ 6/25/2018 8:59 AM
From my reading of the rule, I think the only limitation on participation is a team cannot have more than 4 veterans. So you can have rookies and then 4 veterans. You are not considered a veteran if you were out of the league and there are exceptions if you were hurt for 25 or more games or if you played part of the prior season in the G League.
knicks1248 @ 6/25/2018 9:21 AM
Considering the route it took to( (THE GL) make it back to respectability, i wouldn't be too surprise to see him.
fishmike @ 6/25/2018 11:09 AM
Bo Outlaw used to play in the summer league and average triple doubles every year. No need for Burke to be there. Rather see Frank run the point and give the backup mins to an undrafted FA etc

I do not want Burke to play...we already know what he can do. He will be like Nate dominating summer league years ago.

I want/need to see Frank play....he needs to start and get the majority of minutes...

Why should they still be trying to focus on making him a PG when he had more success playing off the ball. If you want to get him to be more aggressive offensively, then stop focusing on him distributing the ball, and more on catch & shoot, spot up shooter, using screens.

Why bother trying for a pretty girl when you have so much success with the ugly ones? Just stick with what is easiest?

Summer league is perfect for Frank to work on playing lead guard, even if he ends up being a 2 or a 3.

He's a PG...He might be able to play off the ball, but he's a PG. We saw some some high assist games from him during the season...we saw that he has good court vision...we saw that he was our best defender from the PG position.

He's going to be a PG. I see him play the 2 in certain circumstances...maybe taking on a pesky SF to shut him down if he grows another inch and gets stronger, but you want to see him playing at the point in SL, to do otherwise would be foolish, IMO.

Chandler @ 6/25/2018 2:42 PM
would definitely like to see Frank at point and also trying to find ways to use his size to his advantage -- both in terms of his own offense and with better vision
Cartman718 @ 6/25/2018 2:44 PM
$35 for all day aint bad if you live around the Vegas area.

With fiz stressing position less basketball, i don't see him playing any one guard position.

Your point guard has to be able to drop buckets in this era, which kind of takes away from traditional pg,s from back in the day.
