The Hawks gave up Doncic or JJJ for this bum?

BRIGGS usually declares our players busts and the team doomed after 1 or 2 summer league games, so it's only fair to apply the same standard to the guys he likes!

Doesn't work that way. If guys BRIGGS likes don't pan out he never mentions them again and pretends they don't exist. They're like an imaginary friend.

LET'S GO!!

https://nypost.com/2018/07/03/breaking-d...

Here’s a deeper look at the players on the Knicks’ summer league roster:

Troy Williams
Was impressive add to roster after All-Star break as athletic, dunking small forward will be on NBA roster.

Luke Kornet
After being two-way contract guy last season, Kornet signed an NBA deal on Sunday and could be backup to center Enes Kanter.

Isaiah Hicks
Will return as a two-way G-League player; a defensive power forward who needs to be more reliable with his jumper.

Frank Ntilikina
Last year’s lottery pick hopes to show his new strength and a more attacking offensive game as he plays both guard positions.

Allonzo Trier
Undrafted because of two PED infractions, the Arizona shooting guard averaged 16.8 points in his college career and once was viewed as a lottery pick. He’ll be on a two-way G-League contract.

Paul Watson
Undrafted in 2017, the Fresno State forward played for G-League Westchester last season after a stint on Toronto’s summer-league team.

Billy Garrett Jr.
The 2014 Big East freshman of the year out of DePaul went undrafted in 2017, but the big guard had some huge outings in Westchester last season.

Kevin Knox
The first look at the 18-year-old, 6-foot-9 combo forward from Kentucky, whom David Fizdale fell in love with and projects as a starter as a rookie.

Damyean Dotson
His second summer-league stint could go a long way in determining how big a factor the sharpshooting shooting guard will be in the rotation; the 2017 second-round pick played sparingly last season (44 games).

Mitchell Robinson
All eyes are on their new uber-athletic second-round pick who hasn’t played since high-school All-Star games in 2017, making his debut must-watch TV.

Daniel Ochefu
Won a title at Villanova in 2016 and toiled with Reno of the G-League last season.

Tony Taylor
Westchester product played professionally in Europe the past five years, including as Ntilikina’s teammate with Strasbourg in 2016-17.

Tyrius Walker
Hail to Division II as the undrafted free agent attended Morehouse State, averaging 16 points.

Juwan Howard Jr.
Juwan Howard’s son played in Luxembourg, Finland and Mexico and had been a staple of Miami’s summer-league team.

Michael Gbinjie
Former second-round pick (49th overall) out of Syracuse has made his G-League rounds past two seasons.

Justin Harper
Has played for Orlando, Detroit, Philadelphia after being a 2011 second-rounder (32nd). Has also played in the G-League and French League.

Yeah....I mean way too early but I do agree Briggs would be on here touting Trae if he had tossed up 30 in each of first 2 games .....lol.

I will say that it doesn’t look easy for him...he is having to work really hard and NBA teammates will tire of missed 30footers quickly. Defensively he is just out there ...if he gets caught in a switch or help position on D he really is a non factor.

His vision and quicks are legit....left hand looks a tad sloppy when forced that way.

Hawks did get extra pick with Trae but they need him to be very good and not just another pg.

LivingLegend @ 7/4/2018 11:45 AM
Would add that Bagley looked pretty brutal last night as well - think he ended 1 or 2 for 11.

Threw up 2 airballs from 3...shows no mid range game and appears to be a bit of a black hole when given ball on wing or post. Defense highly suspect as well but does block shots.

I am not one to overreact but this is enough evidence for me to conclude that Knox = MJ and KD mix and Mitch = Young Shaq and Ewing mix. I am just kidding but I do get excited over young talent. Hopefully both of these young men are some serious ballers.

Nice video- I wish they'd make them a bit less artsy sometimes though!

Mitchell went from the 3pt line to the hoop in 1 dribble and seems like he could go further.

knox man. i am so ready for this kid.

Maybe go easy about Trae Young... while I'm not a fan it was 1 game and there will be an adjustment playing at the next level. Even Curry needed time to really progress and look like the college player he was, before then taking the next step to become great. Those that remember Chris Jackson (similar shooting, short arms, suspect defense) know he was a monster in college and struggled for a few years in Denver before becoming a solid pro. I don't doubt that Trae will figure out how to shoot/score at the NBA level - question is more will he be an Eddie House/6th man off the bench type or a starter that can give you 20+ on most nights... time will tell

Not only did Robinson work out with AD's trainer but it turns out that he also worked out with AD himself. He's going to be more ready than any of us could have imagined.

Physically ready....I can see that. NBA starter or rotational ready? I'm still holding my breath utill I see him playing with and against similar talent.
