Maybe that pushes them to a few more wins than us at least

Yeah, gotta hope Parker stays healthy.

If there was ever a franchise destroyed by acl injuries it is the bulls, A bit surprised they went there.

Its 2 years, its not a ridiculous deal like Hardaway Jr.

nobody but a few (i want the perfect player) knick fans, think THJ's contract is even close to ridiculous..he avg almost 18 ppg, 4 rbs and 3 assist. All he really has to do is take is take his shooting % up from 42 to arnd 47%, and tighten up his effort on D(which will come with a better coaching staff and system).

they gave jabari 20 mill and he doesn't solve any of their really problems, and he's had 2 major major injuries. Even if the contract was 1 yr its completely ridiculous

The main problem with THjr last season was when he was bad he was BAAD like 2-13, 1-10, 1-14 type bad in back to back games, Or 2-24 in 2 games. If he can have less of those type of games then his %s would skyrocket.

A bigger tougher front court with Knox, Mario, Robinson, Kanter should help him.

What the heck? I'd be fuming if I were the Sixers

smackeddog @ 7/17/2018 12:58 PM
Hmm:

Temple is $8mil, Griz sending out $5.4mil and $1.5mil

Could make it more possible for the Griz to trade with us for Lee, or it could be the Kings clearing up some cap space...

Or the Kings may just be terrible decision makers- why add ANOTHER sg (at least Temple could play SF) and ANOTHER C to an already overloaded front court?!

martin @ 7/17/2018 1:29 PM
Just read that Kings have about $20M in cap space.

Wonder what they're up to. Only big FA out there is Capella but they have enough Cs as it stands. Maybe they do a deal with OKC to take on melo's contract for picks?

Marcus Smart is still out there, too. This trade probably takes Griz out of the picture for Lee. Are we going to have too attach a protected first in order to move Lee lol Never thought this deal would give us this much trouble.

Knicks should try to move Lee to New Orleans. They can trade us Ajinca and another smaller contract to make it work. They need 3&D/complimentary guys bad. Very few quality wings on that team to surround Davis and Holiday, and they need to beef up to stay in the playoff hunt out west. Lee gives them decent production for 2 more years. We can attach cash or a future protected 2nd if needed.

Wow! Big guys like him used to be able to collect NBA paychecks for indeterminate amounts of time. Amazing how much the game has changed in just a few years.

I still think it's shameful the way the nba tried to manufacture him into a star in that year we lost to them in the playoffs- that BS verticality stuff (when he clearly wasn't even going straight up)- it was so bad Silver specifically addressed the way verticality was being called after he took over as commissioner. Still, even the change in reffing doesn't account for the extent of his decline- I remember that training photo of him after the series vs us where he looked gigantic- hard to reconcile with so few rebounds.

I guess this means Jarrett Jack not coming back

CrushAlot @ 7/20/2018 5:47 PM

Bease, Rondo, Lance and the kids with LBJ. Should be interesting.

Happy Super Beas got a deal. Scratching my head at the Roster collection. Hope Ingram has his bags packed.

I don't get what the Kings are doing

They trade Temple (who can play SF, a position they are desperately short on), for Ben McLemore (another SG who wanted out a couple of seasons ago, when they already are overoaded at that spot with Bogdanovic and Buddy Hield) and Davis (another C)

They are already overloaded at front court (WCS, Bagely, Labissiere, Giles, Davis, Zach, Koufos)- why pay him double the annual salary of what the Sixers offered him? What does he offer that Skal Labissiere doesn't? Also, why poach Yogi from the Mavs? the already have Fox at PG and a good young backup in Frank Mason- again why replace your young players with FA signings who aren't particularly an upgrade?

Surely they must have a trade lined up?

Also Vlade needs to be careful here- Bjelica and Yogi Ferrel both had agreed contracts with other teams, then Vlade went in and offered them bigger deals. That really breaks the nba convention among GMs
