Crazy. I guess they won't miss David West
TheGame @ 7/2/2018 9:00 PM
Wow. I am sure New Orleans was willing to offer three times as much. The warriors are not going to have his bird rights so this is a straight championship chase. I guess he thinks he will get the big pay day next summer when more teams have cap room.
fitzfarm @ 7/2/2018 9:05 PM
Yawn, the guy is the ultimate cancer, if he messes with there chemistry it could lose him a ton of money
WaltLongmire @ 7/2/2018 9:09 PM
1yr at $5.3M...and he'll miss a number of months because of his Achilles.

Will be interesting to see how Kerr uses him when he's ready to play again.

NYKBocker @ 7/2/2018 9:10 PM
His timetable to return in Dec/Jan
meloshouldgo @ 7/2/2018 9:28 PM
Why wold the warriors want him??? 🤤😲😡
nyk2017 @ 7/2/2018 9:28 PM
Take that LeBron. Time for him to leave LA and join another team. Maybe he should have signed with Houston. There is little chance of him winning in LA.
newyorknewyork @ 7/2/2018 9:31 PM
He will miss most of the regular season. Come back for the playoffs. Win a ring and be on his merry way. Warriors were gonna win regardless so nothing really changed.

Clever move for both parties.

nykshaknbake @ 7/2/2018 9:35 PM
Have to think this is bad for the NBA. As it was I didn't watch a minute of the finals because I knew it was not competitive. Might try and tune in to see how the Knicks develop but no interest in any of the other regular season or playoff games with GS with 5 all stars.

is he out for that long? The only thing I have heard about him was that he has maintained his weight.
knickstorrents @ 7/2/2018 9:39 PM
If I were Golden State I would have saved my money. What does he even bring to Golden State?
MS @ 7/2/2018 9:41 PM
This is an absolute embarrassment for the league. NBA is now a joke.

Warriors will literally burn through the playoffs. East is weak is can be, there are literally 6
good teams in the league.

He will come back late in the season. For him or the Warriors there is no rush so he will be babied until he is 1000% healed. The main goal is to be healthy for playoffs and win a ring.

He's the one player who can give them true fits in any series. He can space the floor, he can defend the rim, he can run the floor ( well he could before), he's an elite passer. I don't think people really get what a great passer Cousins has become over time. On a free flowing team like the Warriors, it's just brutal for other teams. Would I rank him above The Dream or Old Man Sabonis as a passer big man? No, but he's way up there.

Also, as much as the league allows, he has an enforcer mindset.

He might miss the season though.

This. Also, how can other teams not tank. It is not a situation where other teams can be competitive. The Rockets took themselves out as a competitor with the loss of Ariza and their new cap issues with Paul.
KNICKSBIGCATS @ 7/2/2018 10:19 PM
LeBron is so screwed. Smart move by the Warriors. Little risk, high reward. If he doesn't pan out or fit in, no problem. I don't see what the Lakers could possibly do to compete against the Warriors at this point.
Clean @ 7/2/2018 10:35 PM
I had a feeling the Warriors were up to something big when they let Javale walk away for a min contract with the Lakers. I was like he was important to their teams at times last year. I asked myself. Why would they not even sign him to a min contract? Now we know why.
