Knox displayed some star ability in tonight’s loss I think between frank Knox and kp the Knicks will be a tough team and if kp sits and we get a lotto pick to add to that bunch. K Knox is the steal of this draft, I think he could easily become a superstar with his skill and Size a perfect match with Kp also don’t sleep on Mitchell Robinson that kids a stud! Future after next year,
Top five, Robinson KP,Mario Hezonja Knox,Williams Butler,thjr Irving,frank
If we strike gold with another lottery pick knicks might make some real noise in the east!

The jump shots from deep made The Answer Man flash to the skill set of Jerry Lucas.
A. Panos - it is a bit early for nicknames, but if Knox (who is only 18 years old... damn) continues on his learning arc towards NBA excellence, we may only have positive profanities to accurately describe how he makes us feel.

How's life been treating you Earl? Haven't heard from you in a while
knicks1248@ 7/11/2018 10:51 AM
And you don't hear nobody talking about his age as an excuse. When a player comes out the gate like he has, you know what kind of player you have.... A Super STAR.
If we get the right PG who can play to his pace, we'll be Golden

Have you seen Gary Payton's stats in his first few years in the league?

And yet the only way to get these type of guys is to draft them.

lakers drafted bron GSW drafted KD/cousin boston drafted Haywood/Irving thunder drafted PG13 Houston drafted Cp3/harden
Are you serious dude, It's just one way of getting them, NOT THE ONLY WAY.
The best thing the knicks have done so far is HIRED FIZ, He wanted knox, and he was the icing for Hezonja, and he may be the reason we finally make it back to the PO

Glad the current management team was thorough and worked out guys as part of their evaluation. Frank just interviewed with the pres. That process this year probably gets the Knicks Mikal.

Okay, let me be more clear. The only way for the Knicks "given their current circumstances" to get these type of players is to draft them. Not having the 2014 and 2016 draft picks set the Knicks back on young talent/assets compared to other teams.
Frank at 18 yrs old also lead the league in PNR defense and was apart of 12 of the 14 positive lineups(or 86%)that the Knicks produced out of the top 32. Frank and Knox worked pretty well last game together they both provide necessary items for the team. Regardless if Frank is the lead guard on rotational piece. He adds elements to the team that is necessary, and hard to come by. Knox does so as well which is why he has been viewed as special due to his skill, length, and versatility. Continue to collect versatile pieces for positionless bball.
KP, Knox, Frank all taken in the lotto, all providing massive wingspans and versatility for positionless bball. Maybe Frank never becomes a superstar, maybe he does. Regardless, he fits the vision of the team. With or without a lead guard Frank will still grow into a G/F playing anywhere from PG to SF based on lineup. While Knox will probably end up playing anywhere from 2-4 depending on lineup.

I know you are stuck on your vendetta against Phil so it is what it is.
But it wouldn't be comparable circumstances. KP blew Knicks away with his workout, Knox beat up Bridges in his workout to win the Knicks over. That same performance may have gotten him the nod, just like KP. Mikal didn't offer the same circumstances as Frank at all. Knicks wanted to see medical records on Smith which he refused. Monk didn't offer the length they were looking for. Which narrowed it down to Frank and Mitchell. My guess is that they felt Frank at worse case still had the size to be a rotational wing while Mitchell worst case would be an undersized SG. But that just my guess, I don't know what was said in the room when comparing the players for what got Frank the nod.
The principals of length and position less basketball all seem to apply to the lastest draft picks though.

I agree....people get hung up on where someone was selected....We set expectations based on their draft position. That's why every year....someone outside of the top 10 pops like a cherry. . cause expectations are lower. Thats why most players come to NY and fail... Cause we set high expectations.....This is also why it's so hard to build in NY.....Unless u have competent Management like we have now....And chemistry up top.....as well as amongst the players. is slowly cooking. Not having KP....like I said on draft day. is the best thing for Knox and Frank. Once he comes back. it's like adding superpowers.

Fair enough. But Knox is showing what a top ten pick should look like. Lets not pretend Frank is being talked about as a big win as a lottery pick. Old news though. Lets hope next years pick is another lottery pick and it is more like Knox than Frank. And hope that Frank gets some of Knox's aggressive attitude.
This kid has tope tier athleticism. More importantly he has top tier confidence and is not afraid of the moment. Things you cant teach.
