Loved Cosmos back in the day. As for the Kardashians, they are scary.

I am very impressed though that Kylie Jenner has marketed herself into close to a billion dollar fortune. She didnt do that on her iphone, in her spare time. At the age of 20, I respect that.

The rest of them.....

Humanity is moving forward by 1% of creators supported by 5-10% of doers.
The rest is the genetic material to produce the group above.
But they all are humans and want to be happy.
So as soon as they are happy, who cares what they are obsessed about?

One man's take, and I find it interesting in a hair-on-fire kind of way:

This report from the New York Times is getting a lot of attention tonight:

Two weeks before his inauguration, Donald J. Trump was shown highly classified intelligence indicating that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia had personally ordered complex cyberattacks to sway the 2016 American election. The evidence included texts and emails from Russian military officers and information gleaned from a top-secret source close to Mr. Putin, who had described to the C.I.A. how the Kremlin decided to execute its campaign of hacking and disinformation.

Long before he was inaugurated, it was widely reported that Trump received classified briefings about the Russian cyberattacks. But it wasn’t reported that certain parts of the briefings were based on a top-secret source close to Putin:

Ultimately, several human sources had confirmed Mr. Putin’s own role. That included one particularly valuable source, who was considered so sensitive that Mr. Brennan had declined to refer to it in any way in the Presidential Daily Brief during the final months of the Obama administration, as the Russia investigation intensified. Instead, to keep the information from being shared widely, Mr. Brennan sent reports from the source to Mr. Obama and a small group of top national security aides in a separate, white envelope to assure its security.

But wait. After a year and a half of keeping the existence of this super sensitive source closely held, why make it public now?

The American intelligence community has been on edge over Trump practically from the start. But after Helsinki their hair must be on fire. This is basically a declaration of war against Trump, a public accusation that he’s known all along Putin ordered the election interference. One way or another, this is not going to end well.

Trump impeachment will be the premature end of this Idiocracy-like president reality show... But all shows getting old and ends.
Majority of American public will turn the attention back to Game Of Trons and that about it.
US had many terrible presidents in the past and will have more coming.
Show must go on.

Even before this confirmation I felt this Trump Presidency was going to end badly. I felt at some point the dam would burst and the lurid details about Trump’s behavior would come to light.

In breaking news, Trump is now saying he wants to have a second summit with Russia (even though the first one was a huge success). What a moron.

I am looking forward to the day when he is no longer President and all of the bullsh$t he has done really comes out. I don't see this ending well for Trump. I wonder if the other former living presidents are going to ignore him in the future (assuming he does not straight to jail).

Huh??? I have neither the time nor the crayons required to synthesize the proper response.

The material from the Mueller investigation should be used to try him for treason after his term expired or he has been impeached, then the scumbag won't be able pardon himself.

still baffled so many of his supporters refuse to see this as a terrorist attack.

He has a cult like following. Perhaps a chemically induced (Sarcasim here) aortic dissection would be nice clean break.
True Trumpions would cry conspiracy given the gullibility of the ignorant.

Good idea. I hope the dems don't impeach. I want him to run again, get defeated, and then get sent to jail.

republicans in general, are not analytical thinkers. and if they are...then chances are they don't feel "comfortable" with non-whites.

the gop party right now is a disgrace to this country. there's people that believe in a conservative life and then there's the current GOP.

GustavBahler @ 7/19/2018 7:54 PM
The sad thing is that while pretty much everything negative said these days about the GOP is accurate. The Democratic party now in some ways are to the right of Nixon when it comes to actual policy. We saw that during the Obama administration.

Those billionaires building bunkers in a panic over a resurgent, bonafide leftward shift, wouldnt have to worry if they abandoned shareholder capitalism, and returned to stakeholder capitalism.

It might not have lifted all boats, but it raised a hell of a lot more boats than shareholder capitalism has. It built the largest middle class in history, anywhere.

We should point out the treasonous and self serving aims of today's GOP. But lets not forget it takes two to tango. When it comes to keeping wages mostly flat for 40 years, and giving the president almost dictatorial powers in some areas of governance, tbe Democratic Party has been a more than willing dance partner.

Agreed. Democrats long ago gave up on policy based fights and start practicing the noble art of compromise to get elected. They use buzzwords like "pragmatic" "sensible", "being adults", "grounded in reality" to sell their wares. And for the large part they have been successful in their sales. Only recently have people started to wisen up to this humongous pile of batshit, that is called Centrist politics, aka moving to the right.

Dems are due to break up. They should spin the Socialist party out and have their neo-liberal core to be named as such.
If they will continue to try misleading their supporters of what they are they are bound to fall into oblivion.
Currently the only united factor is anti-republican agenda. People need something positive to get behind.
You can blame Reps for all sins in the world but they are by large united and clear about their political views.
Nihilism in Dem camp produced Trump and Trumpism as natural reaction to both parties impotence and luck of understanding of modern US demographics and societal trends.
They are political side show to business, technology, and other professionals taking over this country and this is good thing.

Centrists are done- in europe most centrist (former leftwing parties) are getting obliterated, except in the UK where the Labour party has ditched centrism for proper lift wing politics (and have surged as a result). I do hope some new blood takes over the democrats, they need to either radically alter course and jettison the stuck-in-the-90s politicians, or we'll just see trump re-elected.
