I was told on this forum that Ntilikina was "not even good at defense".

Frankie!
Imagine what he would have accomplished vs Atlanta. Lost opportunity.
Tommy Beer's job is to make fans feel bad.

I thought he has just got garbage time minutes.

Last night he got the same amount of minutes as Dinwiddie (21). But definitely not garbage minutes. Trey Burke got 2 minutes (garbage time). Kidd has been picking his spots with Frank.
No one is calling him an all star but his coach seems to find him useful.
Damn - I had the "under 44" in the number of pages in this thread. Once again I under-estimated Knicks fans obsession with former players and how the Knicks bungled lost opportunities whenever they have a decent run of games.

He contributed to keeping CP3 at bay. And booker. His defense can change a game. He is still just 23. Still just two years from two years........LOL
Thats what I always hope for from the 8th pick in the draft. After 82 dreadful games of Knicks basketball, I can't wait for them to select a spot minute 10th man. Can't find them anywhere. Forget picking an All NBA player like Donovan Mitchell. Frank is fine if you get him in FA for under 5 million. Its terrible if the best chip you have to improve your team long-term turns into Frank.

Just shows you how smart this forum is.
Whenever I say losing bullock is part of our downfall this season, they called me a bullock lover. Lol. Frank is in that same category on defense. Only 6 pts but holds booker to 16%? But again this forum knows better.
Y’all better put some respect on their names.
Playing in NY makes playing in Dallas a breeze.

My pre-season analysis was identical. Bullock added more value to the team than Fournier can. I look at a player with points made and points saved in mind.
Frankie only scored two the other day but in his time saved 16. That's an 18 point differential. But I'm glad he's elsewhere. Thibs was blind to him. That Atlanta series would of/could have been different. Pisses me off.
Some posters give an attaboy to Frank and the old hate pours out. I must say I am fascinated by what the agenda might be.
Go Frankie!

This is about the dumbest analysis you can find out there. It was Bullock who was guarding Trae BTW, Payton barely even played the entire series and the same with Frank.
One of the biggest reasons the Knicks lost to Atlanta - and there were plenty of them - was the fact that the Hawks could hide Trae defensively cause he matched up again Bullock. After that, the Knicks were toast cause they had no PnR defense and Randle and RJ shit themselves offensively compared to what they did in regular season.
And Bullock, for all of his wizardry defensively and shooting from downtown, was ineffective cause he couldn't put the ball on the floor to dribble-drive. Trae just crowded him at the 3 point line and he was done.

No way!!! Now Frankie lovers get sit back and wait for that ONE breakout 10min span of playing time where he plays "elite" defense and they get to say I TOLD YOU SO!!Or maybe we'll get lucky and watch him score 15ppg during a 7 game stretch....FrenchSanity!!!!
Only took 7 months.
I don't think the point was ever that he couldn't play defense. It was that he was thoroughly ineffective on the other side of the ball in any kind of role. His playmaking was so bad people wanted him in as a SF. Which he's not. He doesn't have any reliable offensive facet to his game.

Looks like phx has no reliable offense.
