The article ends with "Be careful what you wish for". Classic!
Can't really drone on about the Knicks inept front office and it's too early for "Fizdale In Jeopardy" articles. Dolan is low hanging fruit lol Gets hits and fills his daily article quota. It is what it is...
Dolan knows he is hated and because of his past not respected. To some degree while his pops built the thing he has not entirely done all that bad. I'm not his champion here so lets not get confused on that issue. Knicks wise he has been a mess. MSG he is a dick. Stock? Shareholders? not so bad. The business changed and he has sold off pieces at good prices in retrospect. He is not an accomplished in many area's yet the businesses he kept have done ok.
Nobody in the family wants to actually run the team but he says they want to still own it. Since has to answer to shareholders he cannot ignore a certain price if it was legit. That's what I took it as.
He is arrogant and transparent about his substance abuses. He has a temper yet charitable. Many sides to him. His record speaks for itself. I won't defend him but as long as he steps away and lets basketball people run the Knicks I'm ok with him owning it.

Anyone spending $5 billion on this team won't be "debt strapped".
Also, Dolan still has yes men like Steve Mills running his franchise so even his decisions in "stepping away" are awful.
Are you familiar with leveraged buy outs?

5 billion, does that include the Rangers and MSG?
Mills is not a yes man if Dolan is not asking him to do things. I'll take the mans word that he is not making them get stars and sell tickets.
Dolan is a lot of things, but he seems to hold up a promise when he makes it. Problem has been stupidity.
Mills has worked for Dolan for 20 years. He's the definition of yes man.

Good or bad, do you think Dolan influences the team over MIlls in this current Front Office?
