Who would be down? I think KP + Frenchie + Timmay for AD sounds great and fair to me.
NardDogNation@ 12/24/2018 7:04 PM
I don't think we need to include Frank because neither the Celtics or Lakers can beat an offer involving KP. Then there is the obvious fact that Giannis will be available in the not too distant future and we will need as many young pieces and picks as possible to make a competitive offer for him. Giannis and Davis have already flirted with the idea of playing together; all we need to do is create the asset base to satisfy the Pelicans and Bucks, respectively.

You are crazy if you think NOLA agrees to that trade. They have zero clue if KP will be nearly the same. And why would we give up all of that for him if it seems like his heart is quite peobably set in LA? Way too risky.

This...If I'm Nola, no way do I agree to this trade.

What is their alternative? You can't trade him to Boston unless Kyrie Irving is involved and all the Lakers have to offer are middling players that can intrigue on a good night. KP is the only player with franchise player status that could be offered.

I would do it in a second but Nola won't. They would want Porzingis and our 2019 Pick. I don't think Porzingis will stay healthy. I could see him bolting when we strike out in FA

Porzingis is a restricted free agent. He won't be bolting anywhere and with his injury history, he doesn't have the luxury to accept his qualifying offer, then hope for the best as an unrestricted free agent. He'll sign that max contract because of the security it offers and then promptly demand a trade should things go south. In any case, we'll receive a decent haul.
Knixkik@ 12/24/2018 11:05 PM
These threads never end. We need to let KP come back and be our franchise player. He’s not getting dealt.
smackeddog@ 12/25/2018 3:34 AM
I worry whether KP wants to be here long term, so would likely do that deal- though beware, AD's contract will be an absolutely brutal cap killer further down the line.
ramtour420@ 12/25/2018 3:53 AM
No way. Blasphemy. This is not fantasy league, we had our success with Ewing and were close, now we have reloaded with KP and just need to give ourselves the best chance with him.
nyknickzingis@ 12/25/2018 7:19 AM
No.
Porzingis is only 23. He's likely going to sign a 3 to 4 year deal. AD may walk at the end of 2020, because he wants to win a championship right now.
I even think at his best, Porzingis is arguably the toughest match up in the league in his prime. Now will KP get there? I don't know. Remains to be seen.
