Vonleh was viewed similarly. Was given up on by 2 teams prior to signing with the Knicks. Now he is one of our favorite players. The ability to contribute without being featured is critical for winning teams. Frank has that potential about him. Sure he hasn't produced towards our liking so far, but I would absolutely hate to see a Vonleh situation unfold. Hornets would absolutely love to have Vonleh in their lineup right now.
Frank also regardless of his struggles has put in work this season. He stays late after every practice. He puts in work during pre game warmups. He works his ass off on his game.
Has to be only a matter of time before that type of work starts to pay dividends, right?
That said I would't be upset if we landed Ja Morant this coming draft if we aren't able to net Zion.

We have still time. Seems Knicks are being patient with the kid. That can always end at the drip of a dime.
Fans can panic all they want. It’s when knicks panicked and did stupid shit to attempt a fix.
Rainman “Poor pitifully woes is me everything sucks” and subequent “Someone must be accountable” act tells me we on the right track.
Somehow some fans feel someone must pay for the pain we feel. Past coaches, GM’s and Presidents all followed Dolans orders and paid. My faith is blind. No basis for it. Just seems logical. Changes will happen.
Think he should be playing with Porzingis, Knox and hopefully a all star caliber free agent addition next season and then be evaluated if the défense and playmaking is enough or not.
nyknickzingis wrote:I don’t know I thought he did a really good job on Russell and then he went out and dished quite a few assists.True. The foul trouble was his biggest issue. The offense may take another year or so which is fine considering his ageThink he should be playing with Porzingis, Knox and hopefully a all star caliber free agent addition next season and then be evaluated if the défense and playmaking is enough or not.

Yeah. I enjoy watching him. He is aggressive on defense and has made some strides on offense(doesn’t seem as timid).seem

You had me till Ja Morant. Not impressed by this kid, maybe I missed where he plays any defense (haven't seem a lot of him)

He is the age of a freshman but already playing in his sophomore season. He measures at 6'3 with a decent wingspan though forget exact measurements. So given his age and size physically he measures out.
He holds a 62% TS and rates at a 93.1 defensive rating which are both elite #s. His 6 rebounds per game is also very impressive. He has a .312 WS 48 and a 2.0 Defensive Box Plus Minus. And again he is only 19 yrs old who will have 2 years of college ball under his belt.
He has measurements and physical gifts to be a quality defender. And he produces at an elite level. As a prospect you can't really ask for much more. 55.6 ast% on 32% usage rate. 8.2 Fts per game.
Taking a shot on a kid with all this going for him would be a sound decision. He is almost everything that you are looking for in a prospect.

If we will pick 3rd and he will be available there is no question.
This draft is extremely top loaded. In fact there are only 3 sure thing players in my opinion.
Ja is very interesting project.
The issue I see with him is small frame. So he will never be big enough to guard big strong PGs who are dominating the NBA.
He will need to be pared with Frank-type all-around defender with no desire to score much.
Also Morant shooting is very bad for now for what PG project should have.
This types of PGs are few in todays NBA. So hi is a huge risk comparing to Zion and Barret.
But still if you are to pick and this 2 gone you just do it.

Spoken like the basketball genius that you are.
Mark this one down. As if you needed more great predictions to add to your great history.

nice...Frank defended Harden very well. He is a keeper, IMO. This summer should be all about him shooting 3's and perfecting his jump shot mid range to 3 pt range.
I will not give up on Ntilikina.
He needs to watch a lot of Harden Westbrook, Chris Paul, Kidd, Kobe and Jordan he needs to mimic these guys and their style. Like Kobe copied Jordan.

I didn't make a prediction, I said I hadn't seen much other than a couple of highlight reels and no hint of defense. Go jerk off on the altar of Honey Nut Cheerios.

LOVE that defense and the smarts used in trapping Harden, arguably the best one one one player of all time who was just averaging 40 over the last several games.

He does look good. Less of a highlight reel on this clip and more passing which seems to be really crisp. Still got Zion and Barret in front of him. But staying in the top three of this draft is very important. Reddish seems to be disappearing in games, the drop off after 3 will be precipitous.
