Janis is a fucking cunt and we all knew that from day one
This deal fucking sucks, we all know it, but the one thing I can say that's a positive is it's hard to commit longterm to someone as soft as KP. He's fragile and had no interest in playing center or rebounding

I sure hope so, but this is supposedly a weak draft
If we end up with Zion and RJ Barrett then this will be OK.....but man...How the fuck do you trade KP?
you hire mills and perry..thats how..
dont worry they will be gone by summer..
I'm so glad KP gets to play with Doncic, a
I said last yr the KP and JANIS didn't give a FCK about no extension, KP is not from the inner city, he's parents were well off...
MONEY DON'T MOTIVATE WINNERS..because they have a passion for winning
Man this is tough. He was supposed to be the one to attract free agents. Instead we traded him for cap space and a few bags of chips.

I refuse to believe this was the best they could have got for KP unless his knee is messed up. If they wanted to shed Lee and Hardaway that desperately, I’d rather they just added picks to their contracts to move them. If we wanted Dennis Smith jr we could have drafted him. We literally get nothing from this deal. How do you squander your franchise player for so little?! And not even wait to drum up better offers?!
There are only three possible explanations.
1. Mills/Perry got pwned in historical fashion
2. KP's injury not getting better and they traded him before that got out
3. We have guarantees from two great FA's
But this is the Knicks. Occam's razor says door #1
Damn.
I just read this:
The Mavs are working to acquire a first-round pick to include in the deal, sources told ESPN's Tim MacMahon. They owe their own protected first-rounder to the Atlanta Hawks as part of the draft-night trade to acquire Luka Doncic.
so does that mean that we expect a lotto pick this year? does this mean the deal isn't official? is it possible that the Knicks let this out so other teams beat Dallas's offer? Am I in complete denial?
I might be in the minority, but I really like this trade.
Porzingis has never been fully commited to winning in NY and has already had a scary knee injury.
Next year lineup can be promising : 2 max FA, our 1st rd pick (top 3 ?), Knox and Ntilikina (our latest two 1st round picks). Add Dennis Smith Jr. as 6th man and our other young players, and that might be the best Knicks team in decades.

to sign KD who is older and also not nasty?!?
absolute disaster. this will go down like the red sox letting babe ruth go to the yankees for money

why trade him to the first team you called then? doesn't it seem weird to avoid building a market?
Slightly different perspective from most fans right now.......lets pray he is correct for once!
With DSJr coming we now have a big glut in the backcourt.

and for 3 there are other ways to shed those contracts than to ship KP. Jesus Frank, Knox, Mitch, Trier any of those guys could have sweetened. Furture seconds or first (which would be less valuable when we starting winning 50+ games)
this just confirms the FO is as clueless as they have always appeared to be

more like getting hit with a BB squarely in the nose ..

I also heard he might sign a 1 and 1 with another team so he can get paid and be a free agent in a year.

True, he is adverse to rebounding and soft. Oh well, we need a power forward now and we have a better blocking and rebounding center on the team ALREADY. Kemba will provide the scoring.
Could see that they had a deal open on the table and once KP had the meeting they pulled the trigger
