Me too, but starting early today.

And even with the worst record we have a 47% chance of falling to 5th

I don't care that we traded KP - he was always complaining and it seemed like a Kawhi-type distraction was approaching rapidly
Do think we could have gotten more picks out of the deal - hope the 1st that was stated is not protected
Believe they cleared all the space thinking we will land 2 max guys - pray it's not for Kyrie though.
Maybe we can package the Mavs future pick with our #1 if we fall out of the top 3 picks to ensure we land Zion or Barret?
Hope we sit Deandre and Wes so we don't mess up our tankathon
Also hope we stay with the youth movement and don't give up on Mitch, Vonleh, Trier, Dotson and one of our young and average guards remaining...
You know it's a tough trade day when an hour has passed and nobody has created a thread about how good the incoming players will help us :)

Michael Kaye really does not like KP.

I was getting that vibe as well. Might be the only reason I am not performing Harakiri right now.

I completely agree, I think he hid it well but you definitely saw it with his brother and how willingly KP followed that lead

why trade him to the first team you called then? doesn't it seem weird to avoid building a market?

What's the market on teams that have that much expiring and assets to come Knicks way?

How many front offices get the chance to not only sign those players, but then trade their best player and max-worthy player to undo their mistakes?

Lakers just did it and got LeBron. Durant has probably told the Knicks something.

Now, about those teams with expirings...

Read on Twitter we’ll likely buy them out. I’d rather keep Wes for the season, to be honest, we need a few vets around (DeAndre is looking for his pay check and quite selfish this season so he can go)

i wouldn't be so angry if the Knicks didn't have such a rich tradition of getting used in contract negotiations. if that happens I will eat the best crow pie ever but I don't expect that to happen

And not for nothing but Kyrie has expressed interest in NY and has been hedging recently.

For their sake it may be better. I have been praising Perry for a year and they pull this

Serves you right. Never understood why people blindly supported he and Perry when neither demonstrated to be competent at their jobs before or during their tenure here.

Serves me right? First of all i never praised them. I simply gave them credit for prior moves. This move i hate and have expressed that

I was sort of teasing you but given the glum mood, it was ill-advised...almost as ill-advised as trading a generational talent for fucking cap apace, LMAO.

I'm sorry if I'm coming off kind of dick-ish. I just never felt confident in Mills and Perry, so none of this comes as a surprise. I must say though that even I never contemplated them fucking up this badly. And the scary thing is that these idiots and Dolan still can figure out a way to tuck this franchise up even more!

I agree. Michael Kaye just said the Knicks called Nola and offered KP but they weren’t interested.

What trade was it a few years ago when we were waiting around to find out what draft pick we got back in some deal (I think a second rounder) to salvage/make sense of it, only it turned out there wasn’t one! I’m half expecting that to unfold today!

mudiay most likely

Frank/Smith might be a really good back court. Frank doesn’t need the ball and it moves when he is on the court. Matthews lit up the Knicks last night. Some of it was the Knicks bad d. I wonder if he starts or if the Knicks go all youth. Also, do any either of Matthews or D J get moved before the deadline?

Like how your staying optimistic. This is terrible though. And no, don't think thats a good back court. Frank will do best with a slower pace half court offense or a team that does not need a scorer. (OKC or Houston). DSJR would be best with a good shooting wing or guys that run the floor and score. Neither mold Frank fills. Just cant believe this was the best package out there. Knicks could have traded Frank and DS straight up. They could have traded KP with Lee or/and Timmy and have received multiple draft picks from draft rich teams and a couple of expiring. Just don't get this

Different front office.

There better be at the very least a future first.

Im not happy at all but ive always tried to stay somewhat possible. I just feel once you cross over to negative it eats at you. Ive commended Perry before today BUT now he has put extreme pressure on himself. He has to get a combinstion of KD and Kyrie/leonard. He also has to make sure we get zion or stay in top 3. He put himself in a bad position
bigjeep8 @ 1/31/2019 5:09 PM
KP will spend more time on the IR then on the court! Never was a big fan of his!
