Interesting thought here, but you wonder if part of Porzingis' last issue with the Knicks is feeling the Knicks didn't fully have his back on this issue. Seems like the Knicks pushed it off to his lawyers and around that time late in the year, Porzingis began to distance himself from the team, maybe at the direction of his brother. I can really see now why the Knicks didn't want to commit to him long-term as the off-the-court stuff between his brother's influence and this drama is really starting to pile up.

+ the fact that he couldn't stay on the court for a full season, and 7'3" and up players don't have a great track record in the league for maintaining health. As he continues to bulk up, the back and feet and knees are going to go bye-bye quicker, even for a unicorn. I still hope he has a modicum of success. Once a Knick...

Should be interesting to see how the MSG crowd reacts to him next season.
