5th pick of the draft, here we come! Woohoo!!
This is traditionally a time when the Knicks rally and get some meaningless wins. Now we just have to hope that the Knicks get a top 3 pick.

Ack, can't believe we have to wait until the middle of May- agonizing!
Only the Knicks would finally get tanking right after the league changes the lottery odds. Well we have a 14% chance at Zion. If we hit the Zion lottery, we should be set for years. That dude is a beast.
This draft is supposed to work against the worst team, dont mind a late win. Doubt we will win the next one.
Guess we should be grateful if we dont fall in the draft again. A little helium in the Knicks ping pong balls would be appreciated. Would be funny if they started floating to the top.
Nalod like many of you can take two approaches:
1. anger over the new rules and our timing...
or
2. Grateful we have clinched a top 5 pick!
can't control the quality of players in the draft but I have better faith in Perry leading this FO in the draft than I have in years. I know he was assistant in Orlando and we don't know the dynamic of him vs. Hennigan. His brief time in SAS is not really easy to access. Mills thought enough of him to hire him. Orlando is in the playoffs so its a franchise that was building, and SAS is as well. Again, I can't quantify his contributions but these teams were building. We have 7 first round picks in the next 7 years. What has that happened in knick history?
My point is not to argue or praise Mitch-Zo-Frank-Mario-Mudiay-knox this year but the chess game ahead and the draft. Today we have a top 5 pick clinched. We have as good a chance at Zion as anyone. The price was giving youth a lot of reps in the NBA. Ok. This was new. We have approached things vastly different than any time I can remember. We extracted a malignant malcontent (KP) way early in the process. Good for him, good for us. The drama was minimal.
Let's do this! Freeze up that sucker! We are due!
Great thing is we did it Knicks style...
When the lotto odds are the worst for the worst team in NBA draft history lol and we're most likely to get the lowest pick the worst team could have gotten for decades and in a draft where the drop off after 1 is MASSIVE.

14.1% for 1 (shared with top 3 worst teams)
27.4% for top 2
50.1% top 3
52.1% top 4
47.9% for 5 / 100% chance top 5 (only odds difference between 1 vs. 2 & 3).
Reality is I think we all have to accept reality and that we MOST likely will be 3 or below.
The odds are so slim between 3-5 pick odds that it could be any of them, even if 4 is most likely.
Bank on the 5th pick -- if it's better we party.

Hoping Zion goes West, if he doesn't go to NY. That would be a very small consolation prize, but I'll take it considering the alternative.
Zion to the Cavs. They never do well in the lotto
