Never did get a PS4 (remember that thread). Or an Xbox, still have a PS3, which is mostly for movies. This looks like enough of a step up visually, and speedwise, to make me want to buy one mostly for gaming.
My favorite game on the PS3 was the "Motorstorm" franchise. The PS4 revival of Motorstorm apparently got away from its roots, racing. Brought in weapons.
Would love to see Motorstorm brought back old school for the PS5, was the most immersive racing game out there IMO.
"Ready Player One" big racing scene in the beginning of the movie, looked like it was ripped from "Motorstorm Apocalypse".
That type of game would look amazing on a console with the specs of a PS5.
The PlayStation 5 is expected to be a virtual reality powerhouse thanks to next-generation graphical capabilities. When it eventually launches some time in 2020, patents and leaks have also indicated that Sony plans to launch a new, wireless VR headset to go alongside the upcoming console. The latest patent suggests that this future headset will solve one of VR’s most long-standing limitations.

Impressed that this was a clip off a big screen TV, not a feed, still looked sharp.

Hey, I was wondering. Can a PS4 or PS5 play old PS1 games?

Dont believe the PS4 can, read some rumours that the PS5 might through a software emulator.
Only one game I really want to play again on the PS1, "Bushido Blade" most fun Samurai/Ninja fighting game I ever played. Tried newer games, more button mashing, less strategy.
Its weird how the bots in some older games are written better than much newer ones, and with a lot more computing/processing power. Guess there is an art to it.

I've got an old (and I mean OLD) 1980's video game emulator for PS1. Robotron 2084. Some addictions you never get over. I can't believe this stupid PS1 (and the old memory card) still works. Problem is, the game is just two joysticks, and I've gone through about 4 controllers already. Was hoping the newer PS4/PS5 controllers might last longer.
