Gilberts son Nick is going to be on the podium. He is like 22 now and survived some serious brain surgery.
Glad he is ok but his draft luck might be exhausted. Cavs are like 4-4!!!!

Im prepared for 5th. Anyting above is a gift. Top three would be great, Morant and Barrett. Zion is the prize!!!

Tankathon.....Today, we picked 3rd after Pels and Bulls. Phuchers!

I got pick number five, 9 times out of ten a few nights ago.

I like the system actually. Pels get zion and if they can reboot things with Davis they can really amp it up.
ATL or suns will have very bright futures if they can land the top pick.
The parity it brings and discourages outright tanking. Did we Tank? I saw a lot of losing but I saw a lot of yoot playing.
Maybe our superstar is a year or two away if we don't land our stars and we creep up in the draft? Then we can say what a wonderful thing?
Too bad our timing was bad. We won the first lottery with ewing, maybe we win in the new lottery era? A boy can dream!!

That's what I get nearly every time. Yet Mavs seem to land the 1st pretty often. Thats would be a disaster for us because not only does KP gloat, it also pushes our pick from them back a year AND likely makes it pretty poor (a team of KP, Zion and Doncic will do very well for years).
Lol I was saying number of days to lottery

Ha ha! I'm a man haunted by the prospect of the 5th pick!

I view this draft as a three horse race: Zion, RJ, and Ja. I would be crushed with 4 or 5. Truthfully, I do think there's a legitimate shot that 8 years from now RJ (specifically) and Ja end up being the best players out of this draft. Zion has a lot of fundamentals to improve upon if he doesn't want to rely on his athleticism in the NBA

I also have high hopes for Hunter.

So that's a very long way of saying that if we end up with #5 I'm heartbroken. I can live with anything else

Im prepared for the math but hoping we jump or draft "the outlier" overlooked!!! The Donovan Mitchell, the Michell Robinson, etc......
Things we can and cannot control. Looking back on Knox the stats he put up in small samples at his age actually project pretty good going forward.

Gut says fourth pick. We'll continue to experience the karma of the frozen envelope that brought us Ewing in 1985.

Kind of dreading lottery day- for now we have hope, but once we've ended up with the 4th or 5th things could start going sour quick!

Winning the lottery with Ewing there would be such a great story

We have 52% chance at top 4.

If that's the case, we have to pray that otehrs aren't as smitten with Hunter...

One thing about these simulators I question is the accuracy of the %ages. The Knicks seem to get the 5th pick a lot but the other teams with 6%, 9% and 12% gets more chances of moving up than somebody who has 14%. Seems like it is rigged to torture Knick fans.

I don't necessarily know if it's rigged or not. That said, a lot of randomization functions don't function as intended. I would bet on poor design over trying to fuck with us

I don't know about design, but it's probably the harsh reality of the math staring us in the face.

Am I right - we and the other three teams have a 14% chance - so combined, that is 42% - meaning, 58% that one of the other teams lands in position 1. That is better than half.

I don't like the new lottery. It was geared to punish teams like Cleveland and the Sixers, and when our franchise finally, after 20+ years of myopic management, decides to rebuild the RIGHT way, we lose out on landing a franchise altering talent.

Sad. I'm resigned to picking 5. Thank god we can't fall further or we likely would.

Hopefully, we're not back here next year - unless it's the reverse problem where we just missed the play offs, and land the top pick with the slimmest chance!
