Zion misses us as much as we miss him. He looked bummed out. Somebody better take his shoelaces and belt from him.

New Orleans has seen its share of tough times, happy that its NO, not LA. Hope Zion will bring the fans back, apparently AD still wants to be traded. Glad Griffin is there (with a championship pedigree) to talk Zion down, lol.

He would be in bad shape if it was the old regime. He'll sell Zion on his ability to build a contender around him.

Wish they would limit number one picks one team can have in a certain span.

He can go down in the Almost-A-Knick hall of fame, right next to Steph Curry.

Talking about the city, not the team.

I wish they would limit how many years a team can go without a number one pick...

You mean overall no. 1? I thought about a formula where continued suckatude gives better odds. Like PHX and Knicks should have had some consideration. A situation where SAS had Robinson go down would give less odds because they had a good core already. Clev while left without Lebron had recently been a champion and deep playoff runs so less for them. its socialism to some degree but health of the league might be better. Say Knicks got Zion but still suck next year then they don't get the "special" consideration.
its not perfect. Problem is you do reward bad decision making which is morally objectionable in our culture. Sort of the "Participation" reward. Knicks have fundamentally changed their ways and while fans timeline is not always correct, I am confident knicks are on a better trajectory going forward.

There was a study done a few years ago that all teams should get a revolving no 1. pick every which would occur every thirty years. I recall it interesting but obviously nothing became of it. Fact is GSW and the Bulls before them built dynasties without no. 1 overall picks. some years its Kwame, Anthoy Bennet, Greg Oden, Sam Bowie, Or Larue Martin. Sometimes its Wilt, Kareem, Michael, Magic, Lebron...etc. Draft is a phenom unto itself!
