Whoever drops in the lottery - hayes sekou little rui

Absorb and waive these guys

I read the Hornets are trying to move UP in the draft, so looks like they've no interest in trading away this draft's pick

Ramona Shelburne of ESPN has the answers after the Warriors' season ended in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

Thompson's brother, Mychel, drove him to an imaging center in Berkeley. His parents followed in a separate car. The Warriors were keeping it close deep into the fourth quarter.

With just a few minutes remaining in the game, Thompson was wheeled into the MRI machine. The game ended while he was in there.

"What happened?" Thompson asked as soon as he finished. "Did we win?"

It wasn't until he learned that the Warriors had lost that he began to consider what this injury might mean to his career.

"Do you think this could affect my free agency?" he asked.

This is really sad to think about.

That must have been a rough night. Good news for KT, Warriors are going to max him out. They would have a hard time attracting quality FAs if they didnt. Not always the case, but with Klay and all the rings he helped bring to GS. Im guessing the reaction from elite players would be different.

I'd still like to take a shot at landing Brogden- would fit nicely playing alongside DSJ or RJ, efficient, great shooter, seems to have a big impact on the Bucks winning, even though you wouldn't think it looking at his highlights.

I posted this on another thread, but I think it's worth posting on here- 2020 FA class is so bad, it might make you rethink not spending some cap space in their free agency:

Oof!!! There are no FA's worth picking up. Makes me think maybe we should pick up a role player for the PF and PG spots this offseason (Marcus Morris, Rubio or whatever), if we can get them around the $10mil mark, they may even be moveable next year once teams realize how bad free agency is.

I like Brogden, but his value on the open market is way more than his value to the team at this point. It would THJ all over again.

Really? I don't watch Brogden a ton but the dude is a 50/40/90 shooter and I thought his D was not bad.

Brogden is like the anti-THJ. Makes smart decisions, takes good shots and plays solid defense. My point his value to our team falls short to his value in the open market. He makes sense on a contender that has a system and a player capable of consistently creating offense. His deficiencies would pop out immediately here. He can't create for himself consistently, not a high level athlete etc. Brogden is type of role player you sign to bolster a roster that's close to competing. But we have soooo many holes.

We're signing Knox?!? He looks ripped! We need a player like that!
GustavBahler @ 6/16/2019 6:42 PM
Not surprising, if its true. Who would take on his contract though? Dont say Knicks lol.

Is Randle really much different than Kanter? (genuine question, haven't watched him play)

He tries to defend more, and has improved his 3 pt shot to the point it’s not bad...... just unreliable. He’s not significantly better than Kanter. Though he would be able to play PF better and should not be an outright liability if a team went small.

With the Warriors being dethroned for next year, Rockets picked the wrong time to implode:

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2698...

Tilman Fertitta has grumbled about the contract of Chris Paul, according to sources that spoke with ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

Fertitta has expressed regret over Paul's four-year, $160 million max contract to staffers of the Rockets and even in front of rival executives.

The Rockets have reportedly explored the possibility of trading Paul this offseason.

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/25...

Between contract talks with Mike D'Antoni and the possibility of a major trade, the Houston Rockets are undergoing a tumultuous offseason.

"There's too much damn turmoil," a high-ranking Rockets official told ESPN's Tim MacMahon. "There's some hard feelings right now everywhere."

There have also been reports of tension between James Harden and Chris Paul.

"Chris wants to coach James," a source familiar with the stars' dynamic said. "James looks at him like, 'You can't even beat your man. Just shut up and watch me.'"

Paul pushed for more plays and sets in the Houston offense.

"It's always a little contentious when you have two alpha dogs," a team source told ESPN. "Ask the Golden State Warriors if they've ever had problems between their stars.

"There is contention there, but they know they're tied at the hip, and they want to win. They're smart. They won't let it affect the team. ... That is not the reason Golden State beat us."

Paul cherishes the opportunities he gets to play without Harden on the floor and would sometimes bark at D'Antoni to keep Harden on the bench while running the second unit. Harden would lobby or demand to check back into the game.

Harden typically tends to avoid conflict but snapped back at Paul during the Rockets' Game 6 elimination loss.

"Chris has a personality where he just doesn't let anything go," a team source said. "He just keeps pestering and pestering and pestering and pestering. Sometimes James has had enough -- and not just him. That's what makes [Paul] a winner and also what keeps him from being a big-time winner. He's got to temper that."

Daryl Morey is more concerned with results than relationships.

"I feel like we have one of the best duos in the league," Morey told ESPN. "They're both first-ballot Hall of Famers. Both years, we were very close to knocking off what I consider to be the best team in the league, and we feel great about them going forward."

I'd sign him over Vonleh.
