Wow. I like RHJ. Is this just for cap space? He is a horrible 3 pt shooter but plays really hard and his d is good.

I'd sign him over Vonleh.

Reality is Lakers won't have max money for Kyrie or Kemba. 27mm tops and they have other needs as well.

Any interest in Terrence Ross? Seem to remember reading about the Knicks being interested in him years ago, and again at the trade deadline. Shouldn't be too expensive. Obviously doesn't make sense if we draft RJ, but if we went with Garland he might be a nice option.

5. Terrence Ross Unrestricted / Shooting Guard / 6-6 / Team: Orlando Magic 15.1 ppg, 3.5 rpg
Athletic perimeter player who can knock down triples with aplomb and score off the dribble.

Ross averaged 15 points per game last year on 38 percent shooting from 3 for the Magic, and can flat-out get buckets. He's a great pick-and-roll player with the ball in his hands and would free up LeBron to play some off the ball and would be another perimeter player who can create his own offense in the playoffs, when that becomes so crucial. Ross made $10.5 million last year and would be in line for something similar on a multi-year deal. He's a great fit and probably the most explosive non-max offensive player on this list outside of maybe Bogdanovic.

no way I saw that coming. has to be something like he simply is willing to take less to play for a better team (GS reunion?)

I've been thinking of him as a decent option to look at similar to Randle. Young and still improving. The problem with Ross; he's 28 and I'm not sure he fits the narrative of young player (25 and under)....He is definitely a prospect the Knicks should be looking at if Durant is off the table.

Such blatant tampering going on, the nba's a joke! Wonder what team is offering 4 years?!

I’m offering guys like Redick, Ross, Marcus Morris, and Ariza 1 year extreme overpays. Have to focus on surrounding the core of Barrett, Knox, Robinson and DSJ with vets who compliment them. That means 3 point shooting wing players as I see it.
Nalod @ 6/19/2019 8:34 AM
SAC cap space has been sneaky quiet. That figure I assume has cauley-Stein being renounced?
I wonder if Horford has a mutual interest there.
Boston can reboot for a year. If Haywood returns to form he is tradable. Boston can then be sneaky again and creep back in with a younger team. Boston’s problem is Ainge always leaves him self wiggle room. To his credit he gave celts a two year window with a veteran core of Kyrie-Haywood-Horford. 5 minutes in Haywood blows his ankle. 5 Fucking minutes in!!!!
They made conf. Finals which might have been more a curse then a good thing. Haywood never got going this year, the yoot did not handle secondary roles and Kyrie did not sign a new deal last summer.

SAC is being overlooked. Kawhi and Horford? That would be interesting! Bring back Boogie?

YES!!! This should be the plan.

as a raptors fan that's lived with ross for many years, all i will say is that he will shrink under the bright lights. he did again with orlando.

with that said...you can't go from awful to great in one shot. you need to get decent first - and adding early prime decent players will get you there. there's no guarantee you can make a leap up after that but you have to get there first. ross will help in the regular season but be warned - he's streaky.

It's about time people start calling out Ainge!! He's had assets to make moves for years (missed out on Paul George, Kawhi, etc) but he refused to pull the trigger. Anytime the Celts struggle, its a great thing

i'm enjoying the ainge/morey shambles of an offseason.

some guy on reddit who's leaked stuff before and has been verified by their mods says horford is going to the sixers.

from a financial perspective, if sixers renounce reddick, scott and one of harris/butler, they will have $30+ mil in cap space. so they could conceivably renounce reddick, scott and harris - sign horford for 4/90, then give $8-10 mil to reddick and then re-sign butler.

4 years for a 32/33 year old horford is quite a big committment.

GustavBahler @ 6/19/2019 10:56 AM
Im guessing Kawhi is going to the Clips, if it isnt Toronto. Wouldn't be a surprise to many. One reason I could see him going (beyond home cooking) is a chance to go at LeBron.

Kawhi has won a ring and Finals MVP with two teams. Just like LeBron. If Kawhi could win a ring in LA, win a ring as the leader of a third team. Beat the other LA team, with LeBron and AD on it, that would be historic.

Kawhi is very quiet, reserved, but I could see him looking forward to the opportunity of doing something LeBron hasnt, or couldnt do, to this point. And do it in the same arena.

wow the Sixers, I would have never guessed that team and forgot they could even get to a point for salary cap room.

Horford and Embiib share minutes in starting lineup?

Embiib, Horford, Simmons, Butler, Reddick.

That's a huge line up but also gives Embiib a solid backup plan in case of injury. Both Embiib/Horford can rest each other.

It's Philly going all in

djsunyc @ 6/19/2019 11:15 AM
who knows if it's legit or not but something to discuss.

i think alot of teams are going to find out that they need some quality depth. you can't survive a full season and then a post season w/ only 5 solid players. you need 8-9 contributors to get to the end. and that's especially true for teams with players that need rest during the season.
