I’m NOT for trading for Wiggins bc his contract is terrible and his play has regressed.
His stats though were better before Jimmy Butler was there; he’s 24 and from Ontario like RJ Barrett.

It seems way too big of a risk but maybe a coach like Fiz can bring out the best in him.

I'd be willing to take Gorgui Dieng (~$15 million per) for that pick but not Wiggins. That contract is too crippling to ever justify getting. I'm not even sure Wiggins will still be in the league before it expires. One catastrophic injury and he's barely G-league material.

I also wonder what they plan on doing with Jeff Teague's expirer. He might be useful as a stopgap at PG. I suppose I'd do Jeff Teague and Gorgui Dieng for the 11th pick and a future pick swap. I'd really like to target Sekou Doumbouya with the pick.

We have had a stop gap PG since charlie ward, when is that going to end

The FO should not be concern with adding more 18/19 yr olds or adding 1 yr players. That just makes no sense, the results of that route produce 17 wins

Crazy after all those trades and picks they acquired and cap space. Granted Hayward getting injured set them back.

With that said I can see them landing Vooch or Boogie. And they got 3 picks this first round to utilize.

19 yrs care about playing fortnite for 6 hrs, partying, chics, friends, family, and finding ways to spend their new found millions in NYC. On the court, they care about their individual #s.

You heard fiz say that more than a dozen times over the course of the season..

There's just really no track record to suggest the knicks/NYC is great environment to develop.

I would rather put a bunch of players around DSJ, Rj, and knox who can teach them how to win and take it very serious, then a bunch of other teenagers who have tunnel vision and couldn't care less and are just happy to be here.

The nets made the playoffs in a way that defies every fiber of Rainman salty outlook.
You called KP, but you only used what was known to everyone. Frank "sucks" was your calling card to say "I'd rather be right than root for the kid". It's why you so beloved by the faithful here.
Your looking for trackrecords but that does little for anything going forward.
Since you have lazy open concepts about things your really not giving any great insight.
"We need the right guys here". That's brilliant.

smackeddog @ 6/21/2019 3:53 PM
Looks like we have no interest in taking on bad contracts for assets- strange

If the Knicks don't land their top targets in free agency -- which is a short list -- they don't plan to use their cap space to take back an undesirable contract in a trade in order to acquire more assets.

They also don't plan to commit long-term money to a player that isn't on the list of their top targets. If they miss out on their top targets, the Knicks are more likely to pursue short-term contracts to maintain cap flexibility.
