The Atlanta Hawks have acquired the No. 4 pick in Thursday's NBA draft from the New Orleans Pelicans for the No. 8, 17 and 35 picks, league sources told ESPN.
The Pelicans are sending Solomon Hill, the No. 57 pick and a future second-round pick to Atlanta in exchange.
Atlanta is also sending Cleveland a heavily protected first-round pick in 2020 to the Pelicans, sources said.
Atlanta is pursuing Virginia's De'Andre Hunter with the No. 4 pick, sources told ESPN.
The move marks the second year in a row that Atlanta general manager Travis Schlenk has made a big move in the lottery. Last year, it was to select Trae Young.

Man. Atlanta gave up a lot

For a guy not expected to go that high, too.
Is he a true reach?
I like what they did. They can almost switch everything from 2-5.
I kind of liked him to Rondae Hollis Jefferson (formerly of the Nets). Maybe he’ll be better.
Incidentally I think the Knicks should go after RHJ as a replacement for Hezonja’s roster spot. That if plan A (Durant) falls through and we look for low salary role player/projects to fill out the roster.
I think he's a fantastic pick
I think it's a reach, but time will tell.
Hawks are going to be a problem- they have 3 point shooting at every position

They are all in on Young and surrounding him with shooters and defender. They have a plan and a good young squad run by a PG who's teammates love him. They are in the middle of a very good looking rebuild.

They are backing up their attempt to build a new GS Warriors. Their future is very promising.
