I was a Melo supporter, then after the regression from Dad Melo back to Supermassive Blackhole/diva Melo I became a critic. While Melo could be useful as one of the final pieces on a contending team , he has not been able to adjust to such a role so far at this point in his career.
As for being near youngsters it's a big No No. Bad Melo.
This FO traded him and then jettisoned what they got for him. Anyone really thinks they're going to bring him back for some warm and fuzzies?
Dolan might invite Melo to sit next to Spree at a game or two.
Melo was more of a stats guy than a team player. People like him don't help teams win.

So really what you are saying is when Melo was a good basketball player you liked him and when he was a shit basketball player you didnt like him so much. Thats me too. He'll be great in China
Melo is POISON. He belongs on the opposite side of the planet from NY and the YOUNG impressionable talent they have.
HELL NO! HELL NO! HELL NO!
Let him go ruin the Lakers!
Geez, what are some of you smoking?
he wouldn't accept a lesser role and when he was finally forced into that role he was awful at it. I think his attitude issues got passed onto KP until Janis (hey Janis, go fuck yourself) made it even worse. Melo always has done what's ebst for himself so yeah uh no thank you. Do you really want Kevin Knox to learn how to Stay Me7o?
Melo couldn't stick with Houston who had CP3 on it. Nor did ANY playoff team want him enough to sign.
Melo put himself in this position.

Stephen A?
It would be nice to see him sign with the Lakers, fill a role and get his championship.
We have far to many ball dominant folks as is, better to let the young guys get reps and sign the DeMaree Carrol, Jared Dudley types.
Melo era is over. Let's not get nostalgic...especially not for that era.

+100
I don't know where these Melo rumors come from; Russians playing games again with Facebook??

Yeah instead lets focus on 17 wins, no playoffs, KP and his sock puppet bro, and watching the Frenchie trading me softly sweepstakes. I'm sure this is an era by comparison that we're all going to be looking forward to remembering.
I don't understand basketball fans who like losing styles of play. Melo epitomizes losing basketball, he needs to stay away. I'd rather develop young players on a 17 win team then have a Melo led team bring us a first round exit ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!!!
Stay Melo or woke... whatever.

This is a formative era...first time EVER that we have been patient in building a team, rather than jettisoning our development and starphucking our way to oblivion. So yeah, it's something we'll be nostalgic about once we are back in contention (i.e., assuming that our current patience played a role in that).
Or we'll starphuck our way to contention a la KD+KL or some such thing.

Or we'll do anything. Or nothing. Or some combination of all three. Or four. Patient? It's been one very long season long of epic sucking. I'm all for patience. Especially when referencing damaged goods with rings and a documented chucklehead with a ring.
What was your point again?

This is so blazingly incoherent it boggles the mind.
1) I don't like losing styles of play.
2) I'd rather lose historic amounts of games than lose less, ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!!!
I understand the yoot movement and get as many shiny new things as possible/Hinkie mindset, but you really need to express yourself better:
1) I don't GAF about the playoffs or winning games, as long as we're developing young homegrown talent for some enjoyable season somewhere in the partially distant future we can suck all day long, all year long. Hey, it's only 82 meaningless regular season games...
2) I hate dinosaurs. I actually hate almost anything that's old.
3) The draft is almost always lots of fun. There's always tomorrow...
guys u're not looking at this right. the return of melo means the return of lala!!!! that oughta show kyrie the earth ain't flat . . .

She’s always with us in spirit and that’s what matters the most.

Yeah but were they trying to blame melo for their mediocre play , because they weren't much better without him, and we were 10x worse without him..

finally someone honest enough to demonstrate proper priority thinking.
Good take!
