I can't say I'm jealous. I don't think I'd sign KD at this point. Kyrie suspect. BUT nice to see the Nets are relevant again.
Can't say as much for the Knicks, but I'll reserve judgement until i see what happens further....
The nets did exactly what the Knicks hoped they could do. All I can say is don't panic. Knicks just need to maintain the course. It does raise an interesting question of whether they will try to sign Russell
The Knicks do not have the culture yet. I think Dolan hurts the team. It has to be.
This move will not work out for the Nets again.

SMH. Yeah, I'm,good with just Frank.
You cant let what other teams do dictate your path. Hopefully this doesnt prompt Dolan or Mills to max out tobias Harris.

This front office sucks and they lie, they let the nets take their prize package.
They only thing they do well is lose

I was up for it, but now? Now I’m more in line with building slowly. Why sign a 25mill contract? Honest question because I know he is young but unless you bring Kawhi with him, I’d rather just get more assets and possibly strike back in a couple seasons with your youngsters improved.

How old are you?
You underestimated their roster and don’t respect their timeline. It’s one hour in and your a petulant child calling for their jobs with no intelligence to what is going on. Neither do I.
Truth be told Durant is damaged, Kyrie is not a good fit with our kids, Jordan is on the decline.
I don’t like to lose, but this was not winning.

Actually the Knicks WON by having the intelligence and fortitude to pass on the KD/KI circus.

Just to clarify things, when you say "our" do you mean the Knicks or the Nets?
We have experienced so many years of mismanagement and losses that mahy of us diehard fans have a complex about being so lousy. Problem IMO is that we haven't changed and continue to perceive every move with heightened intensity (b/c of the past). Let's be mature, not overreact, and realize that we will be more attractive to free agents and other teams by brushing these situations off our shoulders... we look and act desperate and need to change. I'm personally relieved it didn't work out with KD - between the injury and Kyrie likely joining him... really think we would regret having all that money tied up in those two (especially in 2 years when KD is hopefully back at 90%), as KD would be 33 anyway. I get it feels hard to get rejected all the time - but let's proceed with our plan and attract players when we're operating from a position of power (instead of weakness and desperation). We need time and an emotional makeover :)
I said it in another thread
this could be a second version of Pierce/KG -- not hard to imagine
having said that, Sean Marks is doing a great job for the nets lately

a Hater? of who? Yes, I hate the Nets. I now will hate KD and Kyrie. Althougth I never liked Kyrie.
Knick fan for life. Disappointed but I like Perry so far. Gets talent and young and holds onto picks.

Good Post. Excellent way to handle that

“Never show a fool a job half done......”
Few hours later knicks do what the said they’d do.
Stay young, stay flexible, stay on course......and not starphuch.
What say the Rainman now? Went from Zion-Durant-Kyrie dream to a hissy fit reality?
You thought we cold pull a quick starphuch typical knick wet dream?
All but Gibson are young and on the rise. All on two year deals. All are tradabe.
Dolan can’t do anything right via the media. It was not a high class move to put out the statement “Dolan did not want Durant” but the message was pretty clear: “Things are different here and we were not clearly rejected, it was either us or mutually agreed”.
Only thing that matters is what’s on the court. The youth movement continues.
