Agreed. The second he got hurt I said HELL NO. We have been down this road far too many times

This maybe the time they regret it..I understand the concerns but were talking the best player in the league..

I guess Dolan is not exactly handsome off like some are thrilled about

No players has come back from a torn achilles and been close to as productive including Kobe. Durant wouldn't be able to take the NY media playing at the Garden anyway. If he doesn't win with the Nets, who cares? It's the Nets.

If Dolan had overidden Perry/Mills you would be right. Doesnt sound like thats what happened.

Agreed. I understand some Knick fans are upset but I think most know it was too risky. Let’s be honest the Knicks have done that type of move countless times in the past and got burned. I understand Durant is clearly much better but that injury is brutal to come back from

I agree too. Risk/reward was bad

I just hope they use the cap space smarter

Dolan did a smart thing and y’all are mad bc it got out in the news?

He’s terrible and all, but let’s chill

Right move. Poor execution. Didn't need to do that.
Ira @ 6/30/2019 9:06 PM
I was relieved when Durant went somewhere else.

It beggars belief that so many are wetting their pants because the FO did not do what terrible previous regimes would have done. It would not be the right direction and could have been another disaster to set us back 5 years. Praise Jesus.
Welpee @ 6/30/2019 9:35 PM
Ultimately it's Dolan's money. It's easy to tell other people how to spend their money. Given the history of players returning 100% from this injury I can't blame Dolan on this one.

I think the uproar is mostly because it’s the Nets. I agree I’m happy we didn’t do what we used to do. I’m happy we are sticking to the rebuild

This got leaked and it was not from the Knicks...they would have no benefit to do this. The KD dream was done Game 5....Steph A said the other day that Dolan asked for the medical and he was right...he is signing the check...I am sure Perry and Steve was not going to put there jobs on the line to sign KD and things do not work out and they own it.

Dolan is signing the checks...but even he is not that obtuse to leak this...

Never thought I'd say this but THANK GOD FOR DOLAN
Nalod @ 6/30/2019 10:24 PM
It was reported. It might be Mills/Perry were not on board either. We don’t know.
Let’s just say the process/plan is making the decisions. Nets all in. Knicks not ready for this.

wow. It was a huge risk. I think the KD thing went off the rails with the injury. If he wasn’t hurt I think the Knicks would have given up the farm in an AD trade.

I doubt they had any interest in giving up a Kings Ransom for Davis. However I do think they were all in on KD

Here's the problem...Dolan had to open his fat mouth and say (I'm paraphrasing), "we have a good chance at landing top free agents this summer." Everyone knew who he was talking about. also, there is the infamous letter sent to ticket holders. Why put that out there?! Especially when Perry and Mills, all along have being saying that we are rebuilding with youth, etc. If he never would have started that narrative, I dont think we get killed as much.

In November when our kids are on the court, kyrie is sitting out back to backs and KD is riding his scooter around Park Slope is anyone gonna remember that Dolan was reportedly against maxing out damaged goods?

Get a grip, when did Dolan become Nostradamus? He fully expected to contend for a healthy KD, so did the Knicks FO. He made the right decision in treating it as a business risk decision and made the right choice.

This team is in great shape - no more stupid, Pyrrhic signings.
