Agreed....a 24 years old bulldog who plays bully ball. These are the type of signings we need to make.
Fuck yes!!! total win my brothers!!!!!
Very good player selection and deal relative to the market. I'll give it an A-.

It's only 3 years....he's 24 years old...i like it...Dude is a bulldog!
He is a frontcourt player that provides no outside shooting or rim protection. Do you guys want to win or lose a ton of games watching double doubles. Didnt you just watch Kanter do the same thing?
What front court player did you have in mind that the Knicks could have signed instead?
DSJ
Barrett
Mitch
Knox
Randle
Alan Hahn "The 3rd year in this contract is a team option so it is possibly a 2 year contract ".

The rim protector will be beside him...I do believe we need a back up center for Mitch...Randle can score the ball for sure. Gives us a bully up front. I like it.

All the better if true.
Next: Bobby Portis?
So what does this mean for Noah Vonleh? He seems redundant to Randle.
Watching his videos one of the strongest parts of his game is taking it to the hole strong from the 3 point line . If we have/get a PnR partner for him he will be a complete beast on O.
The three-year, $63 million deal Julius Randle agreed to with the New York Knicks contains a team option on the final year, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
Ok now im on board

Really can't hate the deal if that's the case. If you believe Enes, then we did finally manage to get Zion...with less hops

He was always a bench player anyway

Team option for the 3rd year, by the way. Which makes it a 2 yr deal if he doesn't pan out.
Only 24, and he's shown improvement. 3pt shooting up from 22% to 34%, and over the last 3 yrs he's averaged 3.0APG, which is good for a PF.
Decent rebounder for the position and not a shot blocker.
Does anyone know about his D?
I can live with this signing, as long as he doesn't try to play hero ball at this point in his career.
He's progressed each year in the league, which is always something you look at.
Not what we wanted, but a nice piece.

Hope we can bring him back..

Probably deserves an upgrade to an A. Its the single best deal achieved today, and people need to note it is a 2 year contract with team option on year 3.

Team option? TEAM OPTION??? Have we ever had that like ever when it comes to valuable players? I am so used to hearing player option, this is like a bday present.
I like the pickup...but this is still a funny GIF and tweet.

Now that its a 2 year deal i'm on board but depending on money and length of the deal Portis. At 2 years with a team option this turns into a good signing because there is no downside. 3 years your hurting flexibility.
Can't get excited about this
I am sure he will contribute something but what happened to the idea of smart players who play D -- I usually dont hear Julius being associated with either
